Will there be a public sale for Hibs away?
PaddockLad replied to GarMckin's topic in Newcastle Forum
I smell large scale Hun infiltration of the away end, there was still 2000 tickets available last week Full disclosure: I'm going as we'd arranged to take my Hearts supporting brother and his family. It's becoming less and less appealing for obvious reasons and now it looks like we'll have the presence of Glasgows finest too -
A lot of journos were reporting it last night. Why the fuck would Allardyce lie? It would be easy for any NE based reporter to confirm whether it was true or not. Rafa told them he was leaving in mid May. It’s now mid July. Sheff Weds have far more potential than NUFC under Ashley. Alex Bruce already getting abuse from mongs on Twitter. My money is on Bruce turning it down too. It’s Redfern in charge v Arsenal iyam.

Annnndddd..... he's gone.. Kim Darroch resigns as UK ambassador to US after leaked Trump comment https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/jul/10/kim-darroch-resigns-as-uk-ambassador-to-us-after-leaked-trump-comment?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Copy_to_clipboard

Can anyone see Ashley paying to get another teams manager?
-
12 years of lies from Ashley but it’s BZG’s fault he’s not sold to them?
-
I didn’t watch this time after the last car crash. We watched a mock the week from seemingly 3 weeks ago and a half watched episode of Vera Lots of this, apparently confirmed by TT’s Chief Political Correspondent ewerk

This is where I am. Having said that Steve Bruce is 10/3 Mourinho was 20s last week but is now 5/1 in places....there's apparently a lot of money gone on him...

Smashing. Under what circumstances is there likely to be a public vote though? Would he have Labour campaign for Remain at a GE? 🤔

Next stage of the coup d’etat.... https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/jul/07/leak-of-uk-ambassadors-us-telegrams-plays-into-wider-power-struggle We’re being had from all sides here like. No fuckers sticking to any unwritten rules, guidelines or customs any more.

It’s almost as if some of you lot are expecting someone better to turn up
-
I’m not trying to have an argument, I’m pointing out that you appear to think a desperate signing of a journeyman player isn’t indicative of a wider problem at the club ie Mike fuckin Ashley. In some ways I’ve always thought Ashley being owner basically absolves most of the players of any sort of accountability. This isn’t a conventionally run top flight club. It’s an advertising hoarding for a chain of shitty shops with some highly inconvenient football tagged on to the side. That’s why Joselu gets a pass.
-
Name another player over the age of 25 who in the last 3 seasons who a. Cost 5 million or less b. Played regularly in the premier league c. Made a significant difference to his side. I’ll give you a bog standard premier league striker. Chris Wood of Burnley. 10 goals in each the last two seasons. Cost 3 times as much as Joselu . Rafa didn’t have 15million for a striker.
-
Harsh. It's not his fault hes all Rafa could afford. And if theres no takeover were woefully short of options.
-
Reads like a forlorn last attempt at telling Ashley to get his fuckin finger out. Pointless but a least they had a go. Which is the best we can hope for the team next season
-
Beautiful mix of clientele...stoners, students, indie kids & football hooligans. And in the case of a lad I used to know from near Berwick all four put together
-
Theyve now had two months to make an appointment. It’s not happening iyam
-
Think we need to prepare ourselves for the strong possibility that the new manager is already in place...they’ve known Rafa is leaving since mid May, Redfearn appointed U23 manager 21st June...
-
Rafa makes a decision about what he’s doing in May. Come June the club say he’s leaving because potential new owners don’t want him? 🤔 Doesnt change much if anything iyam. Rafa couldn’t be arsed with any more bullshit from any of the cretins running NUFC. Does anyone blame him?
-
That's the Chronicle repeating a lie from Mike Ashley. The detail in the BZG bid is strong and their reputation would be in shreds if the were shown to be seemingly telling lies at the behest of Ashley. We're not being sold because Ashley doesn't want to sell the club. Fuck all to do with genuine bids or not.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
PaddockLad replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
Derby replace Lampard with Phillip Cocu, who I thought had a spell at Arsenal but as I've subsequently found out didn't play for any English club Anyway, safe to say that's a far better appointment than Ashley will eventually make....
