  1. Schools are in various states of closure round our way, mostly due to teachers with a kid with a cough having to self isolate for 14 days. If there was some sort of government requisition of the £375 private health testing kits that the likes of football clubs and MPs are getting tested with then the teachers currently at home could be getting tested .Same goes for NHS staff in the same boat.
  2. Just seen Eurovision has been moved to next year....has anyone checked on @Meenzer to see if he’s ok?....
  3. Scotland still had a chance of qualifying too...the Leeds of international football
  4. I don’t believe a single fuckin syllable coming out of China
  5. Oh that mutual friend, tell the lucky wee fucker to stay safe The whole country are now trying to minimise risk whilst continuing to maximise income/profit. Not going to the pub reduces risk. Me at home reduces the risk to the current Mrs PL who, along with her mother, are FUMING that Poole Lighthouse have cancelled this Friday’s opera performance
  6. I’m under the care of a respiratory consultant at Poole hospital..was referred by my GP. They couldn’t take treatment any further.
  7. Noises coming from our occupational health wife who I’m conducting an online affair with at the moment are disappointing...they’re going to assess how well asthma symptoms are “controlled” She’s an RGN with an MSc & a NEBOSH cert. I’m fairly certain the good old Corvid 19 virus isn’t going to take into account whether I’m taking my fuckin inhalers correctly before it assaults my respiratory system. But I’m standing by to be corrected by my employers who are clearly keen to show that their employees health is at the top of their agenda at this time
  8. I expect you get a flu jab primarily because you’re a front line A & E nurse?... deputy CMO judt said all asthmatics who get a jab are to socially isolate. If you’re needing a bang on something a bit pokey hit me up I got good shit man
  9. They bailed the banks out quicker than you could say “fancy a sub Tarquin?” but apparently won’t lift a finger to save tens of thousands ordinary businesses about to go to the wall. The only surprise is that it’s a new way to fuck ordinary people over..
  10. I know, they’re utter cunts which makes me think there’s a chance they’ll still insist those in vulnerable groups still attend work. Looks like they can legally still do it. I think it’s unlikely but you never know,,
  11. Just read that. Unreal and sadly makes Piers Morgan on the right side of the argument. Hope you’re well Andrew mate
  12. What are the chances any employer insisting an employee in a vulnerable group who can’t work from home still attends? Mine has till now, as I said I’m basically bullshittihg to get this week off (obvs before guidance changes today) you’ll be ok but your employer has got to tell you not to come in before they’re legally bound to pay you and they’re not strictly bound to reading this.. https://www.ellisjones.co.uk/blog/article/coronavirus-covid19-are-you-entitled-to-wages-if-you-self-isolate
  13. I couldn’t before the advice changed today. Ive had to tell work that my asthma is playing up, not that I should be signed off due to Corona virus. There’s nothing wrong with me, I’ve got no symptoms. My issues are the risk of infection from the doctor’s surgeries I work in all day everyday because (officially as of today according to the government) I’m in a vulnerable group. But it looks like my employer could still require me to attend
  14. Not as yet mate I don’t think... I think it’ll be left to the contractor you’re subbying for..
  15. Am fuckin fucked 😞 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-guidance-on-social-distancing-and-for-vulnerable-people/guidance-on-social-distancing-for-everyone-in-the-uk-and-protecting-older-people-and-vulnerable-adults
  16. We had “one on one” interviews with NHSPS last month, they just wanted us to sign a bit of paper accepting the new T&Cs. “Can I see the contract please?” I chirped up. “No we can’t show you the contract!” Came the reply As you say, I can tupe across on my current contract but they plainly want us on these new ones ASAP. The thing in our advantage is they’re chronically short of engineers anyway and now this virus shit. But that is also now a disadvantage as opportunities to jump ship are going to be fewer than before Bunter started piping up at tea time
  17. I’m in a weird position...we Tupee across to our current client (NHS Property Services)on the 1st April. I’ve got just about enough sick days left to get me there but they want us to sign new contracts with new T & Cs but havent fuckin shown us them yet. I’ve no idea if I’ll get paid beyond the end of this month if I’ve to be off for 3 fuckin months 😞
  18. Yeah I had mine in the autumn too...there's zero fuckin clarity..what a fuckin mess..
  19. @Renton am I reading that right? I get a flu jab for asthma, are they telling me age is irrelevant or is it as vague as it sounds? ...
  20. This is me stuck in the house for three months... Whitty the social distancing measures announced today will protect the NHS. He says people who are over 70 or who have a significant health condition are being asked to take even greater care. That is to reduce the risk of their having to go to hospital and to protect their health. He says these are people over 70 and people who would normally be asked to have flu injections. Women who are pregnant are also being included, he says. He says that is because the government wants to minimise risk and does not know much at this stage about the impact of coronavirus on pregnant women. (Previously the government has played down the prospect of pregnant women facing increased risk.) Last Updated: 17:10 1h ago
  21. That would’ve been my preference
  22. plastic polly even back in the 90s... I think any combination of the members of All Saints would’ve been prefereable at the time
