  1. Do you think the EU will set up customs posts on the main routes from the Republic into NI to check lorries etc?
  2. Agree completely with this bit. The Borders have a Tory MP though for precisely the same reason the Loyalist majority population of Northern Ireland voted against Brexit. It going to be bad news for their specific area. As far as the Borders are concerned I'm concerned about the potential for trafficking of people and the likes of fuel smuggling etc and the types of people involved with these activities appearing where I was brought up.
  3. Yeah. Won't affect the central belt too much though. Would you care to comment on the likely effect on the Scottish Borders ? (and obvs North Northumberland) Some good historical background on this is what happened to the area after Berwick upon Tweed finally became English and was removed from its natural hinterland ie the Tweed Valley in the 1400s...create a hard border & you create problems...
  4. Can you tell me what the current thinking among SNP types for what might happen on a future Anglo/Scottish border where one state may well be an EU member and the other definitely won't be? sorry to spring this on you mate but I often ask cyber Nats on Twitter and usually get blocked immediately It's the same as Brexit...no fucker mentioned the Irish border in 2015/16...in fact the more one eyed Indy supporters sound exactly the same as Brexiteers, it's just a different cause..
  5. Where can I find these stats to have a look ?....
  6. This https://www.davidrumsey.com/luna/servlet/detail/RUMSEY~8~1~268638~90042895:Esso-Pictorial-Plan-of-the-West-Cou was moved around our 2 family homes for at least 45 years...it’s got lbits of verse & doggrel all around it like the one below.. We stayed at St Coulomb (was this near where @The Fish stayed? If so we successfully avoided him ) at the start of September which is about 10/15 mins inland from Newquay in an Air B & B. Great location, basically in the middle of everywhere. Hiked out to Polly Joke beach where the sea when the tide is out is about a mile from the Coastal Path. Went to Fowey caught the ferry to Mevagissey, saw porpoise & dolphins going out & coming back, then got mildly pissed at lunchtime at the 14th century Fountain Inn. Cornwall, even when mobbed with tourists, is fabulous. Went to Hartland about a decade ago, another brilliant walk/beach/lighthouse.... I like.a lighthouse 🤓
  7. I knew he did the guitar line on Michael Jackson’s Beat It.... I didn’t know he did it for nothing (sorry, a crate of beer) he did it in one take or that the legendary Quincy Jones let him rearrange the song
  8. This was sampled by Apollo 440 for their track “ain’t talkin about dub”.... I got so into it I tracked down the sample, it’s ace too. RIP Eddie, a true one off...
  9. Sopel used flowery language to say Trump last night was basically imitating his employer...
  10. I'm sure someone could explain to me that Wolves transfer dealings aren't bent as fuck but I think I'd find it hard to believe... Jorge Mendes Was Deadline Day's Big Winner https://nyti.ms/36xzHLy
  11. I don’t see that the seriousness of his illness has been underplayed, he’s just decided that being 17 points behind requires drastic action. Being a psychopathic narcissist this shit comes easy to him. His actions this week will kill at least another 100k US citizens and possibly himself if he gets hit by the second phase of the virus. Hope he lives to be voted out by a significant margin. And hopefully then he and his mob are prosecuted for their crimes and thrown in jail . I think he knows if he loses that’s his future and he’s willing to roll these deadly dice to avoid it.
  12. Strong blonde bombshell game but her eyes are fuckin dead, She looks like she’s on morphine
  13. Their midfield ceases to function without Henderson. He's the most underrated player in Europe, the mackem cunt...
  14. Never heard this mix before but I knew it was Bicep just by listening to it
  15. One of the current Mrs PL’s favourites...shes often said I’d like them, and I almost certainly would, if it wasn’t for my bitter dislike of that fuckin cunt Henry Tudor & everything he stood for. I do enjoy this exceedingly petty and to most normal people frankly irrelevant grudge but to me he set forth events that we are still paying fior to this day. His modern reputation is a fuckin joke. A cold blooded murderer, nothing more . I don’t care about the complexities of medieval royal succession or the posh fiction of Hilary Mantel etc about the servile wankers who did his bidding. He was a cunt who has a strangely benign modern day reputation.
  16. Heard Robert Harris promoting his latest tome “V2” on Dan Snow’s history hit pod so gave it a go, pretty good, based on the last 4 days of the Germans last ditch attempt to turn the course of the war. I read Fatherland & Enigma back in 90s so I thought I’d give his other stuff a go starting with Archangel, which I really liked probably because I didn’t know a great deal about the subject matter ie the hangover Russia still feels from 70 years of totalitarianism and explores whether it’s really over. Started the first of his Roman novels this week Pompeii, interesting so far, who knew the head of the Bay of Naples water board was called “The Aquarius”? .... Since lockdown started I’ve caught up with Irvine Welsh’s last 3 Trainspotting novels, all 12 of Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon series (Netflix’s Last Kingdom is based on these, the 13th & last novel in the series is out this month 😢) Cornwell’s Arthurian Trilogy “Warlord” series, Giles Kristian two Arthurian novels, Hiding in Plain Sight by Sarah Kendzior, McMafia by Misha Glennie & How to be right by Janes O’Brein. And others too numerous and poor to recommend...
  17. Is he pulling this shit to get out of the debates?
  18. Trump & Melania both test positive for Corona virus ....
  19. “I’m fuckin useless but please don’t criticise me, know your place, you’ve never played the game”
