The Entirely Reasonable Potential Transfers Thread
PaddockLad replied to Ayatollah Hermione's topic in Newcastle Forum
Someone of my acquaintance pointed out to me that Howe signed Trippier for Burnley… maybe one for the summer iyam, make him captain… Not sure what sort of player will be attracted by a club fighting relegation to sign permanently in January? I think it might be a few loans in January with one sort of “marquee” signing…if it’s just someone like Tarkowski permanently that’s more of a “two man pop up you leave at Glastonbury” though… -

I keep hearing his wife took her own life because of him being hounded over this...is this an established fact or is it something he's suggested himself?

In what universe would Eddie Howe accept a job offer from Mike Ashley?

Who the fuck is Miss Hoolie?

Time will tell but I think it will be difficult for him to be objective.....

Caulkin may have the inside track with these but that basically makes him bought and paid for tbh

If its Howe that's OK ish, if it gives the club time to bring in a DoF before January... tbf what they're trying to achieve at this stage of the season with our league position it's no wonder they're finding it tricky...they need to fuckin stop briefing their friends in the media though...that really is a poor sign. I'm not impressed with Staveley with her dealings with the press , the club needs to get a professional in to that role immediately

The media analysing the media is never, ever a good thing mate

Never. He was a summeriser/pundit who did a ghosted column in the mirror a gazillion years ago

I don't pay enough attention to all corners of the football media to either agree or disagree with this but if a BBC contributing journo is given something that he needs to impart to the public even in the middle of the night then I think 9 times out of ten I'm going to beleive it tbh...

Looks quite simple to me....Dick was fairly neutral post game then after speaking to players, club and family he's decided not to bother. Someone close to him passed it on to Ballague about 2am ish? The beeb aren't putting that on their website without it being true, are they @Dr Gloom??

Isn’t this just “political correctness gone mad”? … ie a story in the right wing press designed to outrage middle England but if it is accurate it affects a tiny minority of people? That’s not to diminish the Trans issue in any way but the story is designed to hammer home a certain very narrow point to the easily led ie campuses are chock full of ultra liberal nutters who want to destroy society as we know it. II think back to the ex communist party members who ended up in Blair’s cabinet or in the House of Lords… when these types grow up they may bring a bit of student politics with them but it ends up being very much diluted by the realities of the real world. My niece is at Queens Belfast and is a bit of a pronoun warrior but she remains an utterly charming lass who is still essentially “her” .. I expect. the corporate world may well go fully down this road in the near future when her generation become directors and senior VPs etc, that will be normal for them but there are daft irrelevant “cultural” rules in most workplaces nowadays anyway. The world is changing and there is huge money to be made in the clicks of the outraged it’s basically now the business model of the MSM…
