I’ve just broken off from my Proper Job Cornish IPA & Aperol Spritz revels to suggest that we’ll have a starter in the World Cup in November. That is all .

Joshua acting like a fuckin bell end . Who knew?

Schools, all NHS, all other emergency service premises . They’ll all very likely be fixed, but if/when those deals end they’re screwed…. people who can’t afford to heat their homes whilst in work will be made redundant, that’s when I think we’ll see proper anger. Labours plan to freeze current tariffs for 6 months will cost half of the entire bill for Sunak’s 18 month furlough scheme & that’s just for domestic users. We’ve not started paying back what we borrowed from the markets to finance furlough, T&T, the bounce back loan fraud etc etc…. we’re obviously not alone in this but as far as I can make out this country is in a great deal of trouble

One thing no one is talking about is the affect on business energy bills. If a company is not on a fixed rate there’s no price cap, meaning that where domestic users are looking at around 400% increase business users are going to be >1000%. This winter is going to be carnage, even compared with the lack of help SME’s got during lockdown. The tories will get crucified but am not sure if that automatically brings Labour back.. people are waking up to the point that 40 years of government basically contracting out fuckin everything has lead to this situation and voting for anyone is unlikely to change anything…

That’s fuckin insane. Truly. Can’t get a game for Wolves = 44 mill. Not sure who the agents are but I think that one’s bent…. EDIT: definitely bent

Indeed, I only lowered myself to post it because he’s our boy. I like to try to engender a spirit of togetherness on this forum, often in the face of constant criticism and and antagonism. I can take it, these shoulders are broad, but am being hauled across the coals this morning for promoting one of our own. It frankly beggars belief

Ok I’ll on this occasion join in with baseless bullshit speculation designed to drag clicks from the witless…. I won’t make a habit of it mind

I get it @The Fish but an average of all players doesn’t tell me much when a chance drops to a specific player because of different individual skill sets. Am not sure what xG tells us that we can find useful. The likelihood of any given player to score a goal given a set of variables at the point at which he takes a shot is always altered by the specific player the chance goes to. Strikers are likely to score more than defenders so the overall average is largely irrelevant. That’s just the way I think. Fab’s goal marks him out as having that in his skill set, which makes him look good versus the average, but we can tell that he’s a skilful attacking centre back capable of scoring goals just by watching him on the pitch…. the other thing about that is he’s scored similar before so that’s just counting…. Maybe I’ve got hold of the wrong end of the stick but I don’t see many applications for xG. It’s too general: Dave “x player missed a chance that had an xG of y “ Me “Well who was the player?” -

I think there’s a bit of goalpost moving going on here The chances of Botman being in that position to execute that chance that Wilson scored from on Saturday are far less than Wilson being in there, let alone executing the finish. That being the case, am not sure having that 0.09 xG figure for all players in that scenario is if any use to man or bloody beast tbh . You’ve ignored the quality of the great football men who built their sides very largely without access to any technology. To me you seem to suggest stats are reinventing the wheel when it comes to recruitment. They’re an aid nothing more. For me the past proves it…am not sure what stats got Gary Birtles from Long Eaton Rovers to a league title in three years, and two European cup winners medals in the following two… If I’ve misrepresented what you’ve said sorry but am of the opinion science can help but it’s not the be all and end all..
