  1. @The Fish Dave, what the fuck is a no. 6?
  2. Does he want to destroy his own country as well? No one knows obviously so it's the flip of a coin. One thing is for sure, if we do nothing and he ends up taking as much of Ukraine as he can and levels the rest of it he will hold the whip hand over the entire continent of Europe and will be emboldened to carry on. That will be on us. Its a massive risk but I think nuclear war has been inevitable for a very long time. We encouraged Ukraine to give their nukes up saying we would defend them and beginning with Crimea we have utterly failed to do so.
  3. I've thought this from the start... confrontation is inevitable. European NATO may have to go it alone to begin with somehow, which will hopefully drag the yanks in again. Unless somehow Putins inner circle put a few rounds in his evil fuckin skull...
  4. Can you give us some stats to prove that then? That Joelinton was contributing effectively before his change of position? I think in its simplest form if you use your eyes then compare what you think to xG stats you'll often come to the same conclusion....
  5. Do all varieties of xG analysis now factor in actual defenders being present on the pitch Dave? That bag of festering camel's vomit that Gemmil posted last night suggested that not all of them did. It's not for most punters, we see the game simply, but I can see that the use of economic theory being useful in analysing certain aspects of the game. Read this years ago, it still stands up today... https://www.wob.com/en-gb/books/simon-kuper/soccernomics/9780007586523?gclid=CjwKCAiAvaGRBhBlEiwAiY-yMJ4af7EIZalZrF1GsWYUY1HycB55qtS5F_mznl7HklNauCJF_Vp1LRoCPwMQAvD_BwE
  6. Think the spinners were Pebble Mill at 1 favourites
  7. Donated all my cds to the local record shop in January...out of 600 I kept a couple of dozen, Caucasian Psychosis by Therapy? was one of them...think it's a compilation of their first three eps, JJIFMS is on there...track might be called something else though? @Meenzer might know...
  8. Without Google...the spinners??
  9. Just as I suspected then....you don't understand the fuckin thing yourself
  10. This took me milliseconds and is a far more detailed and straightforward piece than the idiots fuckin lantern parcel of shite you posted chum https://www.statsperform.com/resource/expected-goals-in-context/j
  11. I think its a poor explanation. I think they'd be better off explaining where they draw the initial data from, is it world wide, Europe, UK, England only?
  12. It says it's mostly counting goals in the actual clip mate
  13. So xG is a measure of “Whether a given shot will result in a goal” Clip goes on to suggest that players with a high xG are the best players due to the number of goals they score, but you shouldn’t bring the players identity into it but all stats do need context and should be used in conjunction with other stats because on its own it’s not a good measure of anything but they’ve used it on match of the day on its own so it must be good… What a load of self congratulatory contradictory fuckin old bollocks…..am not dismissing xG out of hand , am dismissing this as an explanation because it’s basically suggesting we count how many goals a player scores. It achieves nothing.
  14. Started small.... U2, Murrayfield 1987 😆
  15. Yeah, I think the Coventry game was maybe the first time , we were in the pics in the Journal on the Monday. Some wise cunt showed my boss at work who then earmarked as a football hooligan for the rest of my apprenticeship..
  16. I don't remember what this was but fair play strawb
  17. Was that the game where most of the corner were sat down chanting "sack the board"? Outside the turnstiles after too...
  18. I've just completed a night school equivalent Maths GCSE (passed final exam with 79% so about to start A level 😎) so am insisting that you show your working on this or your answer will be disregarded
  19. Drinking in a pub near Waterloo before the Brentford game we were chatting to an Irishman who bore an uncanny resemblance to Gerry Adams…it wasn’t you was it?
  20. And of course the thing at the forefront of your mind when you're trying to prevent the bairns from being torn to pieces by cruise missiles is lots of paperwork
  21. I'd have thought seeing as men between 18 & 60 are barred from leaving Ukraine the neo nazi threat from the mums & toddlers and pension age old codgers to the UK uis fairly slim
  22. @wykikitoon Where the house? Did you get a mine survey done when you bought it?
