🤣🤣🤣🤣 Truro…..who knew? He’s like me, he hides his Englishness very well

No I had the temerity to say “that jock who edits the spectator”….I couldn’t remember his name but a speech constable picked up on it and decided I was literally “a vile bigot” It was mildly diverting for a few hours then it went silent till about an hour ago when I think he’d come back from the pub and as I say after attempting to rip me to shreds he blocked me…

If someone was to pick a fight with you on Twitter over a turn of phrase you use, continue it over a number of hours then after delivering what would appear to be an attempted coup de gras immediately blocks you, what would you think?

I don’t think Dave will get that…. I see Terrahawks… I hope….

It’s ok mate, some people have a nuanced and subtle sense of humour and then there’s you
-
I like that you felt you needed to inform me of all that Dave. Some people got the joke though. And to think you used to go by the prefix of “Comedy”…. am now thinking that was more deeply ironic than it seemed at the time

We got knocked out at home by Cambridge United last season ffs Park somewhere near to Hillingdon metropolitan line station, no more than 20 mins on the tube to Wembley Park

The wedding was in the castle we did Skye yesterday We’re sat in departures at Glasgow airport…had to stop on the way back down the A82 this morning to take this between Bridge of Orchy and Tyndrum
-
Also, we have exclusive footage of the groom’s friends & family, representing our home village of Morebattle, leaving the castle for the reception on Saturday
-
Further to this, just to say we’ve been utterly bowled over by the scenery around the village of Dornie this weekend . I think @Renton and one or two others are far more expert about the highlands than I am and we’re now thinking it’s actually quite easy to get up here from Southampton via Logan air, they do flights to Inverness too…any tips for decent out of season places to visit?

Without doubt the most political World Cup in history……

I see Dave’s changed his Twitter handle again….

Barney Ronay is obviously a “recently found moral compass merchant “ but he’s always been a really good writer… https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2022/nov/27/no-strikers-bad-two-strikers-good-as-spain-and-germany-cancel-each-other-out

Croatia dappled grey horses, no superstars apart from Modric but they blend very well

I posted this a while back, RIP Doddie you handsome bastard ( @wykikitoon Carl Hogg was on Kevin Sinfield’s charity bike ride from Edinburgh to Manchester the other week) “Met Weir a couple of times in my youth (some mates played against him at school/youth games, I liked rugby but was never near that level) once I was escorting the cousin of one of his Scotland teammates out for a drink… things were going ok, then he walked into the bar we were in with his mate Carl Hogg (Hogg now married to Jill Douglas, BBC sports reporter and CEO of the DWF) my date immediately made a beeline for these two very tall athletic looking lads, I was introduced and after pointing out some mutual friends I was mostly silent, she spent the next hour heavily flirting with them and other rugby types. Didn’t see her again. “

Isn’t she some sort of female Laurence Fox who shagged her way into a Tory parliamentary nomination? Fair play like but I’ve no sympathy for her. She’ll end up as a talking head on GBeebies, keeping the cash from the grift rolling in…
