Did Wellington > Picton across the cook straight, booked on for the 1pm crossing, it didn’t arrive into Wellington till 6pm for us to start boarding, accompanied by a kiwi TV news team who proceeded to take shots of the piles of vomit lying about the passengers area (that this passes for news in NZ is one of the greatest joys of my life ) We eventually left about 9pm, with much of the spew still lying around…. just about held on to our guts until we reached Marlborough Sounds where all suddenly became calm so I had a pint to celebrate 🍺

I’d be more worried if there were 2/3 clubs out there with the financial muscle for the 100 mill fee and about half that in wages + the requirement for a top class central midfielder….
