Wasn’t even going to post in this trivial pointless thread but in view of this news am going very strong on Leeds

He’s 29…. but if you’re going to bring older more experienced heeds in then a highly skilful recent World Cup winner is a good move. If there’s anything in this I imagine it’s either him or Maddison…probs not both but wtf do I know?…

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Apparently we didn’t sell out a midweek fixture at Goodison after two relegations under Ashley and never took our full allocation ie the upper section of the Bullens stand, this according to a certain section of EFCs twitter fanbase qualifies us as the worst football supporters EVER! As I said to one of them the other night what they’re not quite realising yet is that they’re very likely just at the start of the process we endured under Ashley, I also added that I wouldn’t wish him good luck because virtually no one gave a fuck about us when we went through it, they can fuck right off -

All true. And Arsenal did the same to Man Utd the following season for Wengers first title when he reeled Fergie in from 13 points out I think we’ll get top four and but am interested in this run that Villa are on and how it differs to ours according to the spreadsheet dudes. Apparently it’s a different sort of run. It’s as if a coach hasn’t gone in there and improved every single player he inherited, sorted the tactics out and improved results hugely. I mean, that’s not happened at any other club in the last couple of seasons had it?…

Criminally forgotten nowadays in the pantheon of all time greats, along with Pele. Ronaldo and Messi didn’t help invent a new way of playing the game. Johan Cruyff did and Barca (& now Man City) are influenced by it to this day. He was my dads favourite player. I’ve just sent my battered copy of Brilliant Orange to a charity shop…think I’ll get it on audio book.. David Wimner is always up for a chat on twitter too, very nice fella 👍

I know what you mean, I sort of like it but it as a sitcom it’s hugely overrated, mostly by the whole of southern England . I do like that scene though it always makes me laugh

AM NOT COMPARING WILLOCK TO CRUYFF!! but the great man would’ve been 76 today… I think he’d have enjoyed our display on Sunday
