It’s how most of England looked in a lot of our childhoods and when some of us started going to away games. There were entrances similar to this to go with the plush marble halls at the frankly middle class art deco shrine that was Highbury where the directors were Old Etonians The point being the clubs were mostly situated in communities in which they were founded . There is great deal to be said for that in the third decade of the 21st century. When a lot of institutions that tied us to each other have been dismantled or closed due to lack of interest (eg mass workforces in factories and trade unions, the church and organised religion, even local pubs ffs) football clubs outside the premier league elite still serve as places where locals can congregate and share something. When you then consider the last 30 odd years of Luton’s history ie where they were, where they ended up and their journey back then for me the football club is a brilliant thing to have literally in among the houses of the supporters

Yeah 10kw is for heavy use, like if you need to charge from 1/4 > full charge overnight most nights. Thats worse case scenario. How long does it take for your normal charge? The DNO are god like you say, no arguing with the fuckers.

A fast charger is 10kw, about 43amps which is the size of an electric shower. If your shower is run off your combi boiler and your hob/cooker is no more than 20A you should be fine. The folk supplying the vehicle ie the sellers might be able to tell you what you require power wise. Take your point about local supply companies, they’re a law unto themselves. If you’ve got a big electric shower with a muckle pull chord or switch near the bathroom you might struggle anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️

Have the supply company told you you’ve got to do it because the incoming cable won’t take the load of a charger? …
