That’s inconsistent with what the general feeling about bringing a defensive midfielder would allow Bruno to do that’s been the prevailing opinion of you tactical gurus for months on end. I don’t understand why when you’re on the brink of what you want you’d suggest a change, however subtle. It’s widely considered fatigue is the problem, not tactics. Hmmm…thing is to me two holding midfielders was basically killed off by Busquets and Kante, it’s the best part of 20 years out of date at the top level. I think a fit & firing Phillips is a good signing but if he takes 4-6 weeks to get up to speed then as a loan it’s pretty pointless….
