Is that aimed at someone on here?

Is that the Balco labs stuff? Basically ended Abidal’s career

The one that isn’t a very good comedy/character actor or a failed car show host was in the Mock Turtles; early 90s landfill Manc-indie-baggy nonsense merchants. Or it might have been the Milltown Brothers, same description applies

I don’t think it was a mistake to sign either. But we’re on the bones of our arse injury wise and Howe won’t play them. You can’t compete on four fronts with 17 players. Somethings not adding up but it’s difficult to tell what. Howe was accused of being too loyal to certain players at Bournemouth which partly lead to relegation according to some . We’ll see…

Squad depth and the summer transfer window…. Is Howe suggesting that Livramento and Hall weren’t “his” signings by not playing them even when we’re struggling with injuries? Is there a chance Ashworth brought them in with the best of intentions but they’re basically not ready and Howe is sending him a message? obviously there could be loads of reasons but given our current medical woes it does seem a bit odd. Livramento was brilliant v Man City, not sure why he’s not being trusted in midfield later in games just to change it up 🤷🏻♂️

Young womens’ attitude to it in the 90s put me off, I think it was a lifestyle a lot of lasses aspired to (that and suggesting that Alanis Morrisette was somehow a spokesperson for all women in that era, if you’re reading this Nicky Holloway that means fuckin YOU!😏) but if you’re going to push that shit out you wouldn’t have bettered the writing or the comic performances from the actors. In that regard it was very good, just teeth grindingly fuckin smug and pleased with itself 🙄

We created one serviceable chance in the first hour. We conceded a goal and needed Nick Pope to keep us in it. After that we played quite well yeah. So we did and we didn’t and that was reflected in the stands iyam and always is. I think the atmosphere in the SE corner/Gallowgate was decent last night but we couldn’t and seldom ever hear much from the Leazes. Some of that is acoustics and some of it is punters waiting around for inspiration from the pitch . Our home crowd is obviously different to our away crowd. IMHO there’s too many miserable middle aged fuckers such as myself in the home crowd who’ve sat on season tickets since KK reappeared in 92 who (in a way rightly) think it’s up to the under 30s to get the singing going… sadly it’s difficult for the under 30s to get a regular seat in the ground all into the same area to try and get things going due to the amount of said aforementioned miserable middle aged fuckers occupying seats for 30 + years. So that’s a problem . I think PiF want to replace all “legacy profiles” with day trippers happy to also spend £50 each in the club shop every time they come to the ground. So that’s why we’re seeing secondary ticketing sites selling tickets for SJP and the square root of fuck all is being done about it by the club because they are very likely driving it. Then you have the ballot/membership issues well documented on here. There were games last season where the atmosphere was in and out but mostly out and it’s been the same this season . PSG was an extreme exception rather than the rule and last night has been ridiculously judged by that high standard by some ridiculous arseholes on social media who have to always have an opinion about absolutelyfuckineverything. I think we should try to enjoy this season whilst at games and not get too fuckin gurney faced if things fall a bit flat because we only need to look at the likes of Anfield and Old Trafford to see where things are maybe heading. I won’t be party to that soulless fuckin bulkshit

The mackem twat was hardly likely to be at the game though 🤷🏻♂️ It’s was raining v PSG. They also had a drum. The atmosphere was worse because we didn’t play as well. That is a hill I’m completely prepared to die on. Mostly for the last 23 years since the expansion to 52k the atmosphere has been dictated by what’s been happening on the pitch. If we’ve been shite so has the atmosphere. People complaining about “hoo nee proper singers noo becoz of the ballot like” seem to disregard the complete absence of any significant vocal encouragement for the entirety of the Ashley regime. It’s fuckin bollocks to claim otherwise

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Why are Man City being given months to prepare a no doubt stout (and ludicrously expensive ) defence but Everton are apparently about to get a 12 point deduction dry no lube? 🤔 -
There seems to be wild fury on social media that the atmosphere wasn’t as good for a 0-1 home defeat than it was for a 4-1 home victory. Which I find a bit bizarre tbh For a good hour Dortmund prevented us from setting our normal tempo, we didn’t help ourselves mind with some sloppy passing in midfield. First half Can was killing us with those long balls from deep which by passed midfield and they were straight on to our back 4 and should’ve scored before he got injured, that didn’t matter a great deal because after he went off they fuckin scored anyway Issak was maybe brought back too early, Wilson should’ve scored but in general Hummels knew far too much for him. Crafty old European foxes came with a decent game plan to make us play at their slower pace and it mostly worked a treat for them even with our glut of missed chances (that old chestnut) and woodwork scraping. Group appears to be wide open but we’ve only one home game left. Difficult to imagine getting a win in either Germany or France. Might be Europa for us if Milan don’t pull their socks up..
