  1. this is what I said hours ago man. You can’t stress the need for a 6 to free Bruno up for months then suggest we play them together in front of the back four for crying out loud You can dress it up any way you want in your own mind but this is what you’re suggesting amounts to in practice. FFS
  2. I’d sort of agree. but if we want to make the most of this season we can’t afford to spend 7.5 mill on a player who maybe can’t play 90 mins till mid March iyam. Whats the Juventus thing? Are they genuinely interested or just being used to elicit an offer?
  3. What about this season? Just replace Longy/miley with Phillips & Willock/Joelinton when fit?…
  4. I thought you akso said that he could play in 2 in front of the back 4 with Phillips 🤷🏻‍♂️
  5. Not according to Dave earlier. But then he changed his mind over the course of a fuckin novella of a post
  6. Yes ok, what about when we decided in general just the other day that the main reason we’re shite is because we’re fuckin knackered and major tactical tinkering is tricky half way through the season though? Or do you just want to repeat Dave and whatever pod cast you last listened to? For me, major tactical surgery can wait till Tonali is back because looking at it now that is what he was brought in for with the champions league very likely in mind. If Phillips or whoever is a success between now and the end of the season that may well see us playing with a two in midfield which apparently is immediately very popular this morning with Tonali being the other one
  7. Will the two in this this system sit in front of the back four by any chance Dave?…it seems that this wouldn’t necessarily release Bruno further forward after all, after the talking incessantly about that very thing on here for about a year now Maybe we do need to be tactically more flexible. But I think what we’re talking about here is a reaction to Tuesdays debacle. The main reason for our malaise is physical rather than tactical. Babies and bathwater are springing to mind here…
  8. Hmmm…thing is to me two holding midfielders was basically killed off by Busquets and Kante, it’s the best part of 20 years out of date at the top level. I think a fit & firing Phillips is a good signing but if he takes 4-6 weeks to get up to speed then as a loan it’s pretty pointless….
  9. Ok… what does 4231 give us that 433 doesn’t in your opinion and which one would you mostly use away from home? 🤔
  10. Yeah, not arguing. Just thinking about Jan 22 though when we got precisely what we needed… it may be possible to get others who slot straight in…
  11. Not sure about this. We need players who can hit the ground running… likely to take this lad a while to get up to speed…
  12. All this talk of injuries and changing things is all well and good but some things are just written in the stars
  13. Honestly I’ve had a weird day and now this?
  14. This young lady looks very much like my middle niece and I can’t unsee it now, thanks and merry fuckin Christmas ya cunt
  15. Yeah we were in just after two… we had our mate with us, a teetotal ground hopper who was properly hyped up to get in… pleased we did really enjoyed the clerb 🍺 Highbury is/was my favourite away ground. Got beat 5-1 after SBR was sacked, we were so bad Ray fuckin Parlour scored three. Went to the pub where all the buses left from and there were about 50 of us all singing and going defiantly. There was a little fellah in there with a flat cap and a huge red and white scarf almost bigger than him, looking a bit bemused …. “What appens when you lot win then?” he said
  16. It’s how most of England looked in a lot of our childhoods and when some of us started going to away games. There were entrances similar to this to go with the plush marble halls at the frankly middle class art deco shrine that was Highbury where the directors were Old Etonians The point being the clubs were mostly situated in communities in which they were founded . There is great deal to be said for that in the third decade of the 21st century. When a lot of institutions that tied us to each other have been dismantled or closed due to lack of interest (eg mass workforces in factories and trade unions, the church and organised religion, even local pubs ffs) football clubs outside the premier league elite still serve as places where locals can congregate and share something. When you then consider the last 30 odd years of Luton’s history ie where they were, where they ended up and their journey back then for me the football club is a brilliant thing to have literally in among the houses of the supporters
  17. This was the view in the second half The zinc pipe is the floodlight pedestal The other is the 20th century roof support and rainwater pipe 👍 Probably hasn’t come out great but the sky has a really nice hue to it here
  18. If you look above the YouTubers twathat you’ll see the case for the dartboard, unfortunately locked up for our visit. This was obviously an old clerb room tucked away under the stand 😊
