yeah - but he's gone.. so lets get behind the players who do care a ****.. Just been on Radio 5 - Taylor still likely to be moving to Us.. but no mention of frenchy going other way - not sure if this in the right topic.. but well..

Just wondered.. Anyone heard what fee is involved?

Replay shows Anton leaving his leg in.. maybe should not have looked like he was diving out a plane.. but even so.. that's a penalty. no way I'm afraid.... not even close. You've got to hope

Charlie.. when did he ever set the world on fire? yes he's played as left back, but he didn't.. he didn't impress that much. Ha had a spell in central position for a game or two, but more often than not he drifted in/out of game.. so average... and not someone you need when in relegation dog fight - he'd not fight to keep the club up. He was and will never be anywhere near the player Sellars was. So it's pleasing he joins the rest of the rejects at Wigan.

If this deal is correct then, finally transfers appear to be sensible ones. We've needed left sided defense/midfield options for years.. with Nolan in the middle.. only thing is, we appear to be going down the workman/non creative look to Midfield.. makes me wonder where midfield goals will come from.. but perhaps we're actually building from the back for the first time in centuries?

Hate those people who blame Shay for his decision.. When he came here and the whole time he has been here he has been told we are an ambitious club looking at top 6.. he has done nothing but try to help and if you look at how many point he has saved for us, I'm sure we would already be down.. But.. Harper is a good keeper too, so if Shay feels that he is frustrated with management, anyone who is that fed up has to make a decision.. don't go blaming him for leaving his job - when if you were in the same shoes you'd do exactly the same. Respect to Shay and hope it works out ok for him.. it does leave us short in terms of injuries though - but heah that is repeated in every position, so at least the club are consistent in one thing - no cover for any position. Not so much good luck to Charles tho - never rated the kid who always threw his dummy out the pram when asked to play left back, never rated him in midfield as he can't cross anyway.. and defenders just need to give him a few yards to cancel out his pace.

Lol - Bobby used to do it after every game! .. but I suppose he was a legend compared to current Ashley Puppet.

For who? I'm dreading it.. next thing they will announce that Shearer is coming out of retirement to help boost the squad..
-
.. it looks bad.. it just now comes down to who picks up less points than us - as I don't think there are many teams who will play worse than us at the moment.. I still don't rule out Hull though..
-
Makes you wonder what Bellamy is thinking.. it'd be great to go back to even when he used to play for us.. and even then it was not us at our peak! Anyone watching/listening? What are the views of Lovenkrands?
-
Only thing I look at these days is how other teams have done below us.. as long as there is 3 worse teams than us... in terms of points. I don't see Hull picking up many more points.. and there is only 4 betweens us. 4 Kinnear draws and..

Reinstating Kevin Keegan would be the ultimate cop-out

Of course what the stats don't show is that it was actually worth paying to see a Newcastle team managed by KK (until the roots of the exciting team were pulled from under him - Selling of Milner being something that I think Ashley & Co should be brought up for!), compared to leaving the ground thinking OMG was that football we just watched under Sam.. -
Just a crazy thought here.. but.. something that has worried me for a while... What if: No one is in a position to buy the club.. for the money that Ashley wants.. and his attitude (given that he doesn't care two hoots about the club).. is let it rot in hell? Makes you wonder if his intentions from the outset were not exactly in the best interests of the club.
