August 21, 2009 Mike Ashley sets deadline for Newcastle United takeover Helen Power Mike Ashley, the Newcastle United owner, has given Barry Moat a deadline of 5 o’clock this afternoon to buy the club. It is believed that Ashley is close to accepting that he will have to keep the club for at least another year. Sources close to the retail magnate said that he has still not received word from Moat that Barclays, Newcastle’s lender, has approved the sale. The bank must agree to roll the £40 million borrowings over to Moat’s consortium before he can buy the club. £40 million? I thought Moat had proposed £90million and was denied, and asked Barclays to grant him a loan of £10million to match Ashley's matching price.

I'm pissed, just been notified that my iPhone has the notorious 'White Screen of Death' and after some simple procedures it remains in the same state. Been advised to take it in store and should hopefully be replaced, would be ideal as the socket for the headphones is somehow blocked. I pay an extra £15 on my contract for insurance and I'm hoping this is covered and a replacement can be issued immediately. Any ideas?

It's damage limitation now, as it's always been.

Really pissed off atm, disconnected my Iphone after a random update, and suddenly it bricks itself and goes into recovery mode and needs restored, all my contacts go tits up. After the restore, they seemed like no problems and everything was working fine, suddenly i get a white layer covering my screen and its virtually impossible to use. HELP?!?!
