  1. That stream has got much better now, cheers TN
  2. It works fine for me. Little bit jumpy, mind
  3. Guthrie in for Jonas, Best back on the bench. Tim Krul; Danny Simpson, Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini, Jose Enrique; Ryan Taylor, Joey Barton, Danny Guthrie, Shane Ferguson; Shola Ameobi, Peter Lovenkrands Subs: Ole Soderberg, James Tavernier, Alan Smith, Kazenga LuaLua, Nile Ranger, Leon Best, Shefki Kuq
  4. I can't see us over turning the GD of 7 between us and Fulham, really. Top half would be great though.
  5. Conference play off final has been great so far - into extra time now.
  6. Conference play off finals just kicked off too.
  7. He's desperate to get goals and earn some glory for himself - which is great asset to the team from an attacking perspective. There's no way we should be getting rid of him over summer
  8. Not even 20 years, like. It was still like that 'til I was about 14 or so. Then everyone got phones and the net, and more and more began to get xboxs and the like and play on them all day rather than just bringing out the N64 for an hour or two in the evening after playing outside all day.
  9. I think you start with 10 points, then lose 1/3 or each yellow/red - so a high score is better, and we're actually the second worst.
  10. I find that hard to believe tbh. Not that I give a shit about this anyway, beyond the suspensions etc. And I actually think Nolan does a good job of reminding the ref of persistent fouling of players by the opposition. Something a captain should do but not something I noticed others doing for us in the past very often. It all depends on how the scoring works really. I guess you lose points for most things, no matter how trivial, so a few nothing fouls or wags of the finger will lose you more points than if 5-6 players crowd round the ref yelling. Should be based purely on cards imo. If the ref deems the moaning etc. to be bad enough he can always book a player for dissent. Otherwise it's just too subjective. As are the other indicators in the table. Our 'positive play' rating is a joke in comparison to some of the others on there, for example. Aye, its clearly a load of pish. Its a joke that you can get into Europe via it, really.

  12. Nearly posted this the other day. It's not just our cards that are dragging us down, but our respect towards refs and opponents is the lowest of any team. I guess Barton/Nolan/Tiote/Jonas moaning about near enough every decision drags that down quite a lot, even though there isn't usually a lot of malice in it.
  13. I don't think we've had a manager that has signed the number of players they've said we'needed' since Fat Sams first transfer window at the very least, anyway.
  14. http://www.clicklancashire.com/sport/prest...relegation.html
  15. I guess Pardew may have told him that if he picks up another booking hes out for the remainder of the games, which is why he reacted the way he did when he got booked.
  16. I can't remember Shola ever missing a penalty, is that right?
  17. Agreed. But on the whole it's an awful election for the Lib Dems and not the Tories. Labour need to be concentrating on making a dent into the Tories stronghold on councils. At the moment Cameron's lot are 3:1 on councils and 2:1 on councillors over Labour. Despite Labours success, the Tories have still gained in both. Labour weren't even that successful - it looks more impressive because they did so terribly last time. They won't get anywhere if they're divided, although the fact that Clegg has effectively ruled out any hope of the Lib Dems ever getting anywhere near power should give Labour a bit more of the anti-Torey vote. Every cloud, etc.
  18. Pretty much 2:1 for the no's at the moment ..and getting worse.
  19. It'll be interesting to see how they manage to fuck it up even more next season - they've definitely set the bar pretty high.
  20. Apparently I forgot to hand in a bibliography with a piece of coursework although I'm almost certain I didn't - meant I was stuck firmly 1% away from a first.
  21. Terrible defending, terrible set pieces, no presence up front. Standard.
