  1. Done zilch but short of a couple of passes that he miscontroller first half he's had zilch supply too. Here's something though, the crowd needs something to feed off.
  2. We're missing having a shielding DMF, all of their best chances including their goal have been to players dropping back into the centre with Joe, Bruno and Longstaff always on the wrong side of the player. One of them always needs to be in the deeper position to counter that, it's like they forgot that they can score too. There has to be some balance to our shape. In attack we've lacked their first time shots, it's a weakness some of our players have; Joelinton, Longstaff come to mind, where they always want a touch before shooting. Their goal came from their player hitting quite a difficult shot with the pass moving at pace; the momentum on the ball from the pass took it away from Pope.
  3. There was a foul, but it was before the tackle where they clearly got the ball. Not Gordon's fault though, we didn’t track that run through the middle.
  4. He has, and they know it. If they take away his passing options (or our players don't move enough for him) he's slow on the ball and can be bullied off it without a foul.

If only it was just today. Bunch of faecophiles around here.
  6. There's a handy flow chart for determining this. Is it the mags? ............|............ ............|............ ............|...Yes... ............|............ ...........\/........... Saudi corruption
  7. In a way it will be funny when he gets the medal because it will be confirmation to the rest of the world that the Saudis are buying success.
  8. But can Callum do this?
  9. This is supposed to be me accusing you of name dropping, turns out it's much better than that. Also "bag on someone" is not Australian vernacular.
  10. His character and associated joy and shithousery brings a new element to the side, much like BDB's fortitude, grit and desire, Sven's steely demeanour, Kieran's universally respected leadship, Joelinton's passion and aggression, Isak's icy cool.... I could go on. He's got to be a great player for the squad, you know he's not getting upset or making bad challenges in training, but rather is bringing the team more together. The fact that he's also capable of top quality finishes and passing means he can have a very real impact. He's 28 but has had a pretty easy run of games over the last few seasons in that a lot of his games are as a substitute. He has another three years to run on his contract and I can see him continuing to improve his onfield vision and decision making over this period thereby maintaining his status as a very valuable member of the squad especially when we have a busy European schedule.
  11. I for one never doubted the lad 😉
