  1. Their positioning was bad, but that's entirely down to the fact that the perfectly weighted through ball was inadvertently played by Joe Willock. Don't think you can lay any blame on them.
  2. Unlucky deflection, but has been a long time coming, hope they bottle it now, just wish we had an option on the bench. Krafth Kracker?
  3. We really need something different up top to Gordon. He's not strong enough to retain the ball back to goal against premier league central defenders. Unfortunately that doesn't exist on our bench. Honestly is Chris Wood was still in our squad he'd have started today. Thanks once again FFP.
  4. Every rare occassion that saw him get on the pitch for a good while felt like it would be the last time we'd see him as a player. With Murphy and Barnes out and Gordon forced to play up top he's suddenly an important player in our team again. I suppose at least you know he'll give his all out there.
  5. Can see Eddie bringing on Krafth or Dummett if there's even the slightest chance that playing Schär could aggravate a niggle. So the fact he's back out there now is good news.
  6. Havertz is a red. A little tough on Rashford, but do you normally bring your foot down with such force when protecting the ball? No. He lunged out to draw the contact after he saw the defender coming. Because he was doing it so quickly and forcefully his foot came down hard on the opposing player, hence the red. If he was only protecting the ball with his body it wouldn't have been with such force.
  7. No we wouldn't because they've got a shit ton more quality AND depth already because they expanded exponentially without the constraints of FFP. We're adhering to FFP and it's royally fucking over the health of our players because they're stretched so thin across our many games, as we knew it would. If we weren't limited by FFP we'd have the depth to have avoided at least some of these injuries, or to have had replacements of suitable quality and experience. Let's not forget that FFP purports to be to protect clubs from spending too much and threatening their survival. That is simply not a risk to us. The reality is FFP is of course designed to protect the monopoly of the curently most powerful clubs by preventing anyone else from spending similar amounts on players, management, facilities etc.
  8. It's true though, he's a finisher not a creator, when do you ever see him go on a run and beat his man? Even with a head start he often gets pulled in. Howe has used him effectively off the bench, that's where he's best. Early on he likes to get physical with the defenders which can be useful for others later, but if we're not getting balls to him in the box he's not very effective.
  9. Ah good so we can loan out Tonali and Barnes to our 'feeder' clubs the. For a fee of course, for players of such high calibre.
