Isak, Joelinton and Botman is a lot of quality to be missing. Schär and Burn look tired out there. Burn absolutely busts a gut but as a result with those big tired legs his control becomes a bit sloppy. With those three back and in form we'll give a much better account of ourselves.

Yes, not that we have a lot of depth to do so. I wonder how Eddie will do it, whether he will alternate our tactics against Liverpool here through different team selection/formation. Perhaps a return to the 3-4-3 (really a variation of five at the back with 3 CBs and fullbacks) though without Botman it would mean Krafth would be that additional defender... With Joelinton still unavailable I think it increases the chance of something like this. I'm interested to see which game will see our perceived strongest team put out. I mean if you think we have no chance against Liverpool here then why is it different in the cup? They have a lot more big game experience as well. As far as our bottom line goes by far the most important is 5th as it's highly likely to secure Champion's League football. Of course though I would take the League Cup in a heartbeat. That also puts us into the least prestigious European cup (Conference League). Howe will still be aiming for winning the Cup and finishing top 5.
