  1. To better empathise I have changed my seat as well. Went from a classic bean bag to a LoveSac MovieSac. PS - Not making light of the situation.
  2. 1 point The only way is up.
  3. Dunno how they can ignore it. It was a clear red card offence, and certainly on the overseas coverage was repeatedly replayed and commented on. None of the officials spotted it (incredibly) so it wasn't dealt with at the time. A banning will have to be forthcoming. Joey should send Arsene a big bunch of flowers offering his condolences when it happens. Obviously warn all water bottles in the vicinity first.
  4. Yep, that was a fair goal they disallowed with Carroll. There's no way that if a stoker went down that softly that they'd get a penalty, so there's no way a free-kick should have been given when it was the other way. This was a no win game for me, didn't want either team to get three points so I suppose the result was ok. Sunderland looked ok, a bit toothless up front and Cattermole is obviously a cunt. Some horrible challenges from both sides in this, partly because of the pace the game was played at.
  5. Watched the full game, Enrique played well. Wasn't to blame for the goal - it was lack of marking of Larsson by Flanaghan (who looks shit) that allowed him to hit the shot. Absolute cracking finish.
  6. Our midfield and out strikers were too far apart. Arsenal dictated where on the pitch the game was played, it was shame that we couldn't really impart any influence on the match at all. I would have liked to have seen more patience when we had the ball. The Barton incident was a bit of an embarrassment. He shouldn't have picked up Gervinho, but the ref saw it and acted on it and he only got a yellow so at least there can be not restropective punishment. Obertan had a decent influence when he came on but fizzed out a little. Kind of o be expected for that sort of player. He's bloody quick and a good short passer with the ability to dribble, looks a steal for what we paid. Cabaye's effort was plain to see but a lot of his passing was just a little off. You can tell he has the makings if a good player though, so all said and done it wasn't a bad debut. Tiote's yellow - so frustrating. Absolutely no need for that, and having been largely out of the referees ire earlier on I was hoping he'd come through without a card. Predicted to my mate before hand that he'd pick up a yellow in the 70th minute, so annoyingly I wasn't far off. Watched the Liverpool vs Sunderland match beforehand and have to say that the standard of play was higher and the pace at which the game was played was much more intense.
  7. Blackburn 1-1 Wolves Fulham 0-1 Villa Liverpool 1-0 Sunderland QPR 0-0 Bolton Wigan 1-2 Norwich Toon 1-3 Arsenal Stoke 0-2 Chelsea West Brom 0-3 Man Utd Man City 3-0 Swansea
  8. I saw this thread an thought oh FFS not him again. Was hoping he'd be back with his prediction of us pissing the league. Worked last time anyway.
  9. Delusions or what? In the ''@nufcfans'' office like it's all they do who is @nufcfans ? Only the most professional assembly of top notch journalists and sports analysts in or around or relating to* Newcastle United Football Club. Sheesh! ... Think you've heard them all .... who is @nufcfans!!!!! * - Or in the same country as, or at least nearby.
  10. "Clean up yer dicksplash you little prick!"
  11. Misfits and Outcasts United Ben Arfa - Fell out and demanded an exit. Ba - Quit his club. Failed medical. Dodgy knee. Cabaye - Buy out clause activated. Marveaux - Ran his contract down with injury problems. Simpson - Not good enough at Manure. Obertan - Not good enough at Manure. Williamson - Bought but never played by Portsmouth. Tiote - Yellow card/suspension machine. Ameobi - Noone else would touch him. Barton - Reputation precedes him. Smith - Shit. Gosling - Reneged on verbal contract with his club to leave for more money - whilst injured! Ranger - Discarded by former club for being more trouble than he's worth. Lovenkrands - Well passed his prime. Now linked with: Bendtner - Not good enough for Arsenal. Pieters - Fallen out with club.
  12. So if we overcome the wages, fees and rates then we have a decent chance of being in with a shot of talking to him. On the Pardew scale that's vastly in excess of 100% chance of signing him.
  13. Sounds like Pieters is having a bit of a Barton at PSV. What's the bet it doesn't result in PSV declaring that he can leave for free? Can you pop that in the shite machine CT and give it a spin for me please...

    Xisco - Gone!

What a joke this turned out to be.
  15. Don't think Bendtner is that slow, but seems lazy so won't get around the pitch as much as you'd like. As much as he's a decent player who would benefit from a consistent run of games any success that he would be able to achieve here would be based on his personal application which is apparently shit. Therefore unless he has matured immensely don't think we'd get much value out of him. Lovelyhands might be happy about it though, so there's immeasurable value there.
  16. Had to get rid of 4 point Ferguson to fit him in my side (in the meantime). Simpson was too good to resist as well at the lowest price for defenders virtually assured of playing when fit.
  17. If you support the football team Newcastle United there is no argument for the sale of Carroll. The money has not and will not be reinvested in the team. At any price then there is no point at which that becomes good for the team. End of story.
  18. Maybe, but it's not a good sign that the better a player performs here the more likely they are to be sold. Truth is we're not used to being an out and out selling club, which is what we now are. Wigan and the likes will admit to it, but as supporters we have to put our hands up now and admit the truth, regardless of what the club say.
  19. That's it for me like, and it's where I think some are being very short-sighted. Those saying that they're 'glad to see the back of him because he's been engineering a move away from NUFC for the past 12 months' surely should be asking why he's done that? It's because the club is run like a fucking shambles. Can't blame the kid for wanting away. And you'll not be able to blame Tiote either when he realises the grass is far greener at Stamford Bridge. Probably some people venting their frustrations wrongfully at Jose. The anger left me a long time ago regarding this, and has been replaced with misery. As noted in my avatar I'm Enrique's biggest fan, and have been touting his ability more or less since he joined (whilst others were hurling abuse at him because he was playing sporadically behind a shit midfield and had to clear the ball out). I even populated a large part of his wikipedia page FFS (not the shit regarding relegation, well well before that). My frustrations regarding his departure know no limits.
  20. Disagree, he doesn't want to sell. He wants Newcastle United to use as a huge, free, billboard for his tat business and that has been his intention all along. He'll sell his shares in the other mobs then will look to off-load Newcastle. In the meantime though he's riding the clubs name into the ground not realising that he's reducing the club's profile and therefore value in the process.
  21. Fantastic signing for them. As much as I hate to say it, they've got a good shot of a top 4 finish IMO. If Gerrard can come back and be anywhere near the player he was a few years back they'd be a very good shout for top 4.
  22. So let's get rid of him for nothing and then not replace him - that'll teach him!
  23. Don't get the Enrique hatred. I for one can't bitch about the club on one hand then expect the players to put up with the shit willingly. The ambition of the club is written on the wall many times over, clearly he's leaving because his ambition has outgrown that of the club. No problems with that. Can't stand that he's going to Liverpool though. Hate those cunts.
  24. Coloccini! He's the captain now, you've got to at least be able to spell his name. I think Marveaux will start on the bench with Jonas down the left. Left back will obviously be interesting... Would be pretty quick to rush Obertan out there, I'd much rather see Barton down the right in an act of conciliation. Obertan and Marveaux will be good to inject later in the game off the bench. If Barton doesn't figure then either of the two new French wide-men could play with Jonas. Alternately Obertan could play behind a lone striker - likely to be Shola I'd say. If two up top Shola and Ba. Plenty of choices to be made in certain positions.
