  1. And no replay. Just like we didn't see one of Bruno getting his heel kicked, or us being offside on the second phase of the corner kick.
  2. Why are they almost never showing replays of calls that go in their favour?
  3. Diabolically poor officiating for the yellow. Clearly got the ball and Haaland came into him.
  4. If anyone can play that much without fatigue it's a 17 year old. Certainly in comparison to someone carrying an injury.
  5. seriously though it's somewhat baffling that Longstaff has been playing injured (and poorly) with a fit and capable Miley on the bench.

    Eddie Howe

There's no need to look for greener grass because it doesn't exist right now. Howe is the best fit, loves the project, the team and is loved by the supporters. The lack of rotation has been largely out of his control and sustitution options have been limited. It has highlighted our lack of depth in some positions as well as perhaps a lack of alternate strategies to implement based on player availability. We've not been miles off the pace though and is we can turn around our injury record that alone will go a large way to putting us back on the right trajectory. Compare our squad, spending and wages to any of the 'top 6' teams and we're still spending A LOT less. £30m+ less than Spurs (AND Villa), £50m+ less than Liver "we have a ceiling" pool and the others are loads ahead of them on spending. Both Manchester clubs spend more than double us on wages and Arsenal are close enough to double too. Don't forget this when gauging our level of success. We'd spend more if we were allowed, but the only ways to that are dramatically increasing our revenue (which is happening gradually) or a change in the FFP and PSRs. They are under review with the premier league cautious of missing out on the top levels of talent. 1. Manchester United – £205,756,000 2. Manchester City – £200,668,000 3. Arsenal – £166,036,000 4. Chelsea – £155,324,000 5. Liverpool – £136,240,000 7. Tottenham – £117,520,000 6. Aston Villa – £117,000,000 8. West Ham United – £95,316,000 9. Newcastle United – £84,500,000 10. Everton – £78,978,000
  7. Twitter in the knows versus Lee Ryder on the severity of Gordon's knee injury.
  8. I didn't say we lost because Chelsea were good, I said that they have loads of talent. We weren't terrible, they scored a lucky goal, and a very good goal that we should have defended better for. Their third was down to us pushing for an equaliser. It was a frustrating game as Howe said there was not a lot of opportunities for either side despite 5 goals being scored. It doesn't worry me except that it would have been a key result getting a win.
  9. I thought Tino was good throughout and Murphy played very well. Isak scored a great goal but was otherwise quiet. The weakest would have been Botman, Longstaff and Willock who was pretty anonymous. Yes Chelsea were at about the same level as us on the whole, game turned on a few moments. Their first had a huge element of luck.
  10. We were away at Chelsea also, let's not forget that. They pay a shit ton more in wages, have spent several shit tons more on transfers and have a youth system, scouting network and training facilities that are one of the best in the world (and which helps them to bankroll their irresponsible spending). The fact that they're underachieving doesn't take away the talent that they have, and Pochetino is a high quality manager. We've just got to find a way to stop conceding these soft goals.

I am of this opinion as well.
  12. Was more thinking for the FA Cup. I know it's a tough ask away at Man City, but if we're to have any chance Gordon will have to be at his best.
  13. Very disjointed game from both sides really. Hope Gordon's injury is not serious, the way he winced when the physio bent his knee didn't look good.
  14. He's been hitting the ball sweetly all game, but none more sweet than that.
  15. Which 3-4 positions? For me with Tonali coming into the side it's really onl.... Hold a second.. Murphy! WHAT A CRACK!
  16. I've missed bits of the game but from what I have seen Murphy has contributed well.
  17. I thought he was just faking earlier, but he does seem off.
  18. Should have been a yellow for Cucarella, shit blind officials.
  19. Longstaff really struggles to win free-kicks. That one looked pretty obvious to me.
  20. Caceido has an upset tummy, angling for the day off school.
