  1. A few weeks before he departs on his next injury break from all accounts.
  2. Hopefully this signing will result in our current available forwards stepping it up a notch to try to improve their position in the pecking order. Some care from Shola would be nice. Lovelyhands will be possibly be a little upset, though I think his contract is up at the end of the season anyway. I don't care how poor Best appears to be, as long as he can keep scoring at a decent rate until the incumbents return. I'll admit to being quite surprised at how well things have worked out in terms of the playing roster that has been assembled here, likely on lower wages, with a younger average age.
  3. If it helped to get the deal acorss the line.... why not? Can't see him being worse/less consistent than Martins.
  4. If signed it should be a very good piece of business, looking forward to seeing him play. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing fans to be exstatic when 7.5M out of a promised 35M was spent.
  5. Unfortunately more along the lines of - "Wow, this is easier than it looks! Lets sell some off and we'll still survive comfortably!"
  6. Lovenkrands is injured I think.
  7. Best speciality there. Well scored and good lead up play.
  8. A win of any description will be good. I'd like to see a clean sheet.
  9. Aston Villa 2 Everton 1 Blackburn 1 Fulham 1 Chelsea 2 Sunderland 1 Liverpool 2 Stoke 1 Man Utd 3 Bolton 0 Tottenham 2 Wolves 0 West Brom 2 Norwich 1 Newcastle 2 QPR 0 Swansea 0 Arsenal 1 Wigan 1 Man City 2
  10. Was watching the Manure game again, and felt the need to do this.
  11. What I don't understand is why people aren't willing to give Ben Arfa time to play to adjust to all aspects of the Premier League before making judgements about his work ethic etc. We know he is an extremely talented dribbler of the ball, and has an impressive arsenal of passes that will stay the same regardless of the league, but we don't know how he'll react to the increased pace and physicality of the league. Likewise in regards to match fitness over 90 minutes at full pace you really do need to play a series of games to be able to last a full game and still be effective. Sporadic cameo appearances can't have helped that.
  12. You mean like Ba did with Giggs, beating him and getting off a shot but still picking up the free-kick rightfully from Giggs' desperate attempt at a tackle, that was late and never in danger of going near the ball.
  13. The Jonas goal gets better with each watch, absolute class finish and great lead up play. As an individual goal Ben Arfa's is in a league of its own - brilliant.
  14. And there it was. Hazy run from HBA in very tight space. Very impressed with Jonas' finish...
  15. ,,,Just said that the highlights will be on at 11:30PM
  16. Dying to see this HBA goal.... And the Jonas one.
  17. That first one is classic!
  18. First step towards achieving that preference would be to make fewer threads whereby you as a female ask where other females are.
  19. Colleen's a slapper She wears a wonder bra And when she's shaggin' Rooney She thinks of Demba Ba :nufc:
  20. I've been openly critical of him at times in the past, but credit where it is due, he has come in and played really well. You'd barely know that he missed the start of the season.
  21. What are you on about? It's not the same tactics - we played a mixture of direct and passing football, and he dropped Obertan and started Santon. How is that the same thing he does every week? So what if he sticks to 442? Last time he tried a different formation we get well beaten. Why on earth would I want Vuckic on? Perch is a defensive player, so I had no problem with bringing him on just to solidify things. Man Utd are so capable of getting a goal and then another in quick succession. Beyond sad that people have to complain about the subs, like they have to blame Pardew for something. Got his subs spot on if you ask me. We're giving him credit for his role in our win tonight, not "sticking our tongues up the manger's ringpiece". Put yourself in the creche for such nonsense. The subs weren't horrible, though I really do not like having Perch in the squad at all, let alone getting on the pitch. He didn't really do anything poorly out there, but when you're replacing Cabaye with him you're going to lose a great deal in terms of possession and you aren't gaining anything in defense. Clearly about fresh legs and getting players on who can do plenty of running.
  22. Any word on how much the deal is worth? Can't really have any complaints. It doesn't look great, but neither have plenty of the Northern Rock's.. though had become accustomed to that being on our shirts.
  23. Amazing game. Well played by all. Just amazing. Atmosphere sounded brilliant.
