  1. First I'd seen of it *whistles innocently* *feels special*
  2. Jonas's ball movement was better with Enrique in tandem, Raylor isn't the type to push forward. I think Santon will start in the cup game hopefully at left back with Raylor moved to the right replacing Simpson. With Santon, Ben Arfa, Marveaux and Jonas pushing forward our ball movement should improve with Cabaye offering the out ball option (along with Tiote).
  3. The worst part is that he seems to be even less aware of his team mates movement and play now than he was when he joined. Seems to be in his own world, one presumably where crosses should either land on the other side of the box or drill into the first defenders legs. Not giving up all hope, but to play that many games in a side in winning form and still look so out of place and out of sync is cause for concern. They showed the ground covered at one stage during the game (probably half time) and Obertan was 6th on the list which wasn't bad, what was bad was that for all that running he offered very little. The one positive to take from this match I guess is that he seemed to try harder in defense, and closed down their players on several occasions where previously he might have just let them go. You can't blame Pardew for wanting to give him a good chance to settle in to the team, but it has thus far been at the expense of Marveaux's place in the side despite the Marveaux looking to be the more productive of the two whenever given a chance. Marveaux absolutely has to start in the next match which I'm sure was the plan anyway, as it's a Carling Cup game. He should thereafter retain his position and be given the same amount of time as Obertan to establish himself.
  4. Did enough just. 3 points and the juggernaut continues to roll on. Cracking goal, glad that Cabaye's first was a peach and a match winning one at that.
  5. I think it's spelt whinger.
  6. Great leadup play, quality control and layoff from Marveaux and a fucking beautiful finish from Cabaye. My lounge room going off at 2:40AM.
  7. If Saylor was screaming that it crossed the line it's a virtual guarantee that it hasn't. Should have scored.
  8. Who to take off? I don't like Cabaye being out there on a yellow tbh as they've got some pace in midfield that he's struggling to deal with. Obertan has been wasteful and has given no reason to keep him out there. Ba hasn't played well but still I wouldn't be surprised if he pops up with a goal.
  9. Best should have scored there. Has been pretty good this game deapite that. Well paced cross from Jonas who has been wasteful otherwise.
  10. Nice one, but don't think the other half would be impressed! Besides as you say she's a Manure supporter. Does look good in red, if it's ok to say
  11. Wolverhampton 1 Swansea 0 Aston Villa 1 West Bromwich Albion 0 Bolton 0 Sunderland 0 Newcastle United 3 Wigan Athletic 0 Liverpool 2 Norwich 0 Arsenal 2 Stoke 0 Fulham 0 Everton 1 Man United 1 Man City 2 Blackburn 0 Tottenham 2 QPR 0 Chelsea 2
  12. I think it's about the fact they all seem interested in football, somehow discussing the fixtures while being noshed off appeals to a lot of guys This is the Australian equivilant, Mel McLauchlin who is cute and knowledgeable about football but supports Man U which would instantly turn it soft for me. She does ok.. from a discussion perspoective prefer when Adam Peacock is leading the charge, not just because he's a newcastle supporter. IN the end though it doesn't really matter when it's Robbie Slater, Mark Bosnich and Mark Bosnich's Marsupial Hat that are performing the 'analysis'. Anyway I've gone way off topic. She's definitely cute.
  13. Liked the look of him when I've seen him, but you have to wonder about his injury record. If he can stay fit shuold get some time on the pitch this season with the first team.
  14. Agree that giving some returning players a go here might be the perfect way to help keep the team motivated. Protecting an unbeaten record is great motivation as well, but this sort of match is one that players could easily go into thinking it's won already and conseqeuently be flat. Ben Arfa and Santon into the starting line-up at the expense of Obertan and Simson/Raylor. Marveaux given a good run out as well pending the results at the time, replacing Best with Ben Arfa moving into a free role.
  15. He runs at defenders? Similar to Routledge. You don't always need end product when you play in his position. End product is overrated tbh. Having no end product hasn't done Jonas any harm! Probably could have chosen a better time to come out with that.
  16. Likable guy.. but 10M!... worst 'journalism' ever.
  17. I thiink the limited budget will finally catch up with Everton this season and they'll finish mid table. Honestly I'd be disappointed if we finished below them, though I'm probably being a little optimistic because of our current form. Reina is overrated, but has improved in recent years - he was cack a few years back but protected by the fact that they had Gerrard (on top of his game) and Alonso shielding the defense and bossing possession.
  18. Year Zero, that's paying a little too much heed to the few moments of quality we've seen from Sam Ameobi. He scored that wonderful goal and has been dangerous another time when used off the bench, but he's also been wasteful off the bench once. All in all it's very limited minutes some coming against tired opposition where a player with running in his legs will naturally make inroads - how many times did we see Routledge terrorise opposing teams for a few minutes?
  19. Does he seem to be at his best when he has just returned from injury? Whatever it was, it worked. Best had a poor game, but doesn't necessarily means he should be dropped. Shola is a definite fader where-as Best contributes little across an entire match but is likely to pop up with the odd goal despite that because of the advanced positions he occupies.
