  1. Absolutely horrible scheduling for us, made worse by already stretching to cover defense. At least after this run of games we'll know what some of our younger players are capable of. It should be further highlighting the areas in which strengethening is required so that we can look to do that in January. Unfortunately getting a 'deal' across the line is more the motivation for our owner than actually improving the team. A lot of onus on Cabaye for this match. He's had a very poor start to the season.
  2. Perch is supposedly back as well so I'd say we'll likely see him start at fullback with Anita in midfield and Bigi on the bench. Bigi will then be fresh to feature in the midweek European match. Can't see Coloccini being rushed back. Our best form of defence might have to be attack in this game.
  3. The whole Debuchy affair can't have sat well with Cabaye. At the end of the day though he's a professional footballer, so if he can't put the differences aside to concentrate on performing for the thousands of loyal supporters then he's a bit of a jerk. We'll know soon enough what the lay of the land is on that front. Should they have used last season as a springboard to further improvements? Yes. Did they? No. That shouldn't have come as a surprise to anyone given the history of Ashley.
  4. Look forward to next season's.. "Shola Ameobi - All 74 goals for Newcastle" There's an alternate video as well "Shola Ameobi - All 37 injuries for Newcastle, plus bonus Stoke injury"
  5. Seriously... Horrible news. Get ready for us to be playing shite football for the next month and a bit
  6. Indeed, he's not going to have the chance to complain at all about it. Even when Perch is fit I'd rather Anita is given a run at full back. If Tiote is back it's a certainty, but otherwise I'd still do it - we need to see whether he's up to it over a stretch. That would leave Perch on the bench to cover in case of an injury across the back four, or to come on a mid-field closer.
  7. Pardew, Mike and Dekka were far too busy at the coal face desperately trying to fend off approaches for our stars from rival clubs to be able to make any signings. ... And meanwhile in here everyone were sad tedious little cunts of arrogant tossers on a power trip through a midlife crisis fannying about all day playing FM on iPads.... or OOT'rs with intimate knowledge of 1990s meat sellers.
  8. Anita bought for his utility value, not to replace Tiote.
  9. Glad Obertan had what sounds like a decent match. The first leg against them he was pathetically bad. As much as I don't like it he'll have a role to play this season.
  10. Ready yourselves. Knock knock.. Who's there? China China who? China get in, but the doors locked.
  11. How does fucking Allardyce have an agent. He definitely does his own PR.
  12. For us no, but for West Ham I think it is. If he stays relatively injury free he'll make a huge difference there.
  13. That'd be the one. If we base our expectations on previous Pardew comments regarding Carroll we can expect that he'll be here come the end of the window. Re-fuel the chopper Dekka....
  14. After Obertan's last performance (and most of the other stuff he has done here) I would take Routledge back in a heartbeat.
  15. Whatever the gate is, it's additional revenue over last season.
  16. Would love us to get a few goals in this, but honestly just progressing will leave me happy. Pardew won't let anyone be complacent.
  17. He's been back on the whine of late.
  18. EU37M for Modric seems like overs for me. On the whole I think it will help Spurs. Remember how often we were linked with Modric - wonder if we were actually in for him...
