Happens every holiday with kids regardless of mode of transport, you imagine yourself being all packed the day before, enjoying a longer than normal sleep then calmly sipping a hot beverage, not a care in the world... when the reality is packing starts after normal bedtime the night before and doesn't finish to the moment you leave. I always enjoy that moment when it doesn't matter anymore what you've packed because there's no changing it. Whether that's clearing a certain amount of distance from your abode, or the wheels leaving the tarmac, that's the moment your holiday begins.

He's ahead of the game, space bar is the first key to go on most keyboards. He's still using the keyboard from his 386 what with all the key presses he's saved over the years of informative letters to council and the like.

Their eggs are in the Colo will come good again basket. He should improve as his match fitness increases but it seems it's his attitude that has been...

They can only sell/offload players who have attracted interest elsewhere and it needs to be somewhere where they can afford premier league wages or else the players won't go.

Of course I'd take him. At the rumoured price (less than above) I'd say it would be more likely if he was a few years younger and hadn't attracted interest from more desirable destinations.

Hopefully wherever he goes he gets played in the right position. He was a capable player when he arrived, but doesn't know what he's supposed to do on the pitch anymore.
-
He must be on comparatively low wages or else I couldn't see us taking a chance on him.

I don't disagree, my point was twice bitten thrice shy.

It's a fun watch.

We've been stung with past it defenders several times in the past.

Kindle Fire TV. Mainly for use with Netflix and Hulu plus I'll put Kodi on it. The little guy will enjoy the games available on it also.

One game, and it cost several thousand to do so.

Santon could defend when he wanted to, problem was for a long time here he couldn't be bothered. New manager coming in would have foreseeably been the kick start he needed.

Cabella would work well in the system we played, so could see a fair bit of time on the pitch at home. An established left back would be good, though Haidara did improve as the match went on to his credit. A long, long way to go defensively but at that age with his limited premier league experience there could foreseeably be a solid amount of improvement in him. Anita turned over possession cheaply on a few occasions on the weekend with no pressure on him which was a worry. His contribution was effective otherwise but against a better opposition he could get lost. Tiote, Coloccini and de Jong are all well off full match fitness (Tiote and de Jong in particular) and will struggle for a while as a result.

CT has company for the game.... Haidara improved as the game progressed though defensively he's still got a long way to go.

Well said deaders.

I could watch that Widjnaldum goal all day.

Some very good signs there and a couple of very familiar worrying ones. Always disappointing to not win when you're ahead in the second half, but the biggest thing to take away from this is a new way of playing that sets a platform that our attacking players can work from.

Glad Mbemba was there, made him change his shape for the shot resulting in him pushing it wide.
-
Take a bow Colback, great defense. Tiote and de Jong are not match fit.
-
That's how you win a defensive header.

The real fault was giving them so much time to cross, though yes, Janmaat was too flat footed.

How many seconds to get a yellow on debut?

That hard tackling, speedy winger we've brought in in the off-season is looking good.

Insightful.
