  1. It's frustrating isn't it? It would have been a fresh start for him with a new manager.
  2. I'd be mildly shocked if QPR don't sell him because he won't sign a new contract there. If he's not committed to the QPR promotion cause then they might not get the best of him. If you sort the midfield out competent strikers will score goals in the championship (look at Lovenkrands' record for us) so they should be able to bring someone in to score goals. The flip side of that is if his goals win them promotion next year then it's worth foregoing the 10m+ fee.
  3. I'm disappointed in the overall performances of Haidara in the preseason, I had hoped he would come along with some consistent games. Good pace strong left foot and a desire to beat his man were good signs. If he's rubbish we need to bring in a new left back.
  4. The price of the fee that he's worth is heavily dependant on what level of wages he's willing to accept. 13m on reasonable wages is fair IMO.
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if the rumours are just a ruse to drive up his price before he inevitably goes elsewhere.
  6. Enrique's injuries would make me reluctant to sign him. He was my favourite player so that's difficult to say. They will really have impacted on his acceleration and speed which was a key to his strength as a fullback (that and his strength/balance).
  7. Barely anyone gave Enrique trouble back in the premier league also, but that's besides the point. Defenders can be protected and therefore made to look better by being in dominant teams that boss possession.
  8. If not I'm selling mine, lightly used.
  9. Don't forget that we were the dominant team in the division, much less defending to do.
  10. http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/products/Mens-Football-Teamwear-adidas-Striped-15-Short-Sleeve-Jersey-White-Black-97254.aspx? The Magpie patch looks ok, the other looks crud, the back is fugly,
  11. Don't think we've seen enough of him to write him off, and there has been some glimpses of ability from what we have seen. If he doesn't get a proper run this season he'll never amount to anything here, if he does thinking with extreme optimism he could be our next Cabaye
  12. His name's easier to spell for a start...
  13. I've run your maths through the machine that scientist guy used in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie and it holds up.
  14. How difficult can it be? What exactly do they need to check?
  15. There hasn't yet been a situation where I haven't looked forward to a season. It's how long that enthusiasm lasts that's in question. I'm particularly looking forward to see how Motrovic does, he's shaping to be one that could swing wildly in either direction, and I like that volatility. I'm hoping he adds some character to the team, it's something we've lacked since Nolan was sold and Barton was moved on.
  16. Aye, not like its his fault he keeps getting selected.
  17. Exactly right, also the amount we've spent with these recent transfers seems higher than it is because of the increase in TV money. Four of five years ago these were reasonable fees, these days they're nothing out of the ordinary. We still need several more players, though I think with these three in I can see it becoming a case of sell to buy. Looking at the menu from last season there's not much we could serve up that would be appetising to other teams. As always hoping to be proved wrong.
  18. Appears to be easily led by a money hungry agent.

    That's a horrid back four.
  21. I'd worry a little how he will cope with the larger more physical players in the premier league. Who he gets partnered with is critical, with Colo I could see us really struggle with set pieces.
