Newcastle United to pick up 3 points away at Ipswich tomorrow. 15:00.

Diame, Lascelles, Hanley, Murphy all middling championship players at best in their current guises. Lascelles by virtue of his age could improve. He must be a solid trainer with a good attitude by virtue of his continued inclusion for no other apparent reason.- 336 replies

Lascelles is terrible both at organising our defense and at sticking to the man that he should be marking.- 336 replies

To be fair to Dirk, his decision was probably made a little easier by the fact that he has never been a Manchester United player.
-
Noelie, keeping us guessing. Well played Sir.

At least one of the top three has been pulling away for quite some time now.
-
If he was that brilliant a man manager (and a cunt to boot) why aren't City winning the league?
-
Can't believe you left out the Intertoto Cup Noelie. I'd imagine the look on Parker's face holding that trophy mirrors the look on yours after witnessing a unimpressive victory or worse a 0-0 draw on the road.
-
We're shit when we're on telly. 2-1 them.
-
Mitro has been poor this season in the limited time he's had. Looks off the pace and where he looked quite dominant in the air in the premier league he hasn't im the championship. I've been disappointed based primarily on expectations from last season. At the same time comsidering his age it would be silly to sell him.without giving him a proper go.

Owngoalina Lansbury .... Yep, definitely nothing left in the barrel.
-
A goal truly befitting the quality of the game.

Once we got going last time my recollection is that we were a fair bit more enjoyable to watch. May be a trick of the mind or a bigger contrast with the previous season in the prem where we were worse than dire. At any length the absence of cohesion in this game made it a worry. It was like a set of players that have never played together. Passing and movement was lacking. Many of our more capable players are inconsistent which doesn't matter so much in the championship but will be found out in the prem. I hope the support is there to improve the team next season otherwise it will be an unenjoyable slog with a high chance of culmination in relegation.
-
Well said Noelie, we were disgraceful.
-
Well that wasn't pretty. If we're this ugly to watch in the championship, imagine us in the PL with the likes of Colback, Dummet and Lascelles....
-
What the heck was Lascelles thinking there?
-
Dummet is definitely a graduate of the Mike Williamson school of defending.
-
Yep he's guaranteed to run for everything. Will be stuffed by the end though. Dummet has the composure of a skittish deer.
-
Gouffran. It's his best position.
-
Atsu for Mitro, good sub Rafa
-
Time to take Mitro off. Glad he got a goal thanks to rubbish officiating, but on a yellow he's a ticking time bomb. I'd like to see Atsu out there. I wonder whether we're always this shit or do we just turn it on for the televised matches?

That linesman was fucking blind. Later Yedlin was brought down with a two footed challenge and not even a free kick.
-
What an utterly hopeless performance that was. I'm convinced we've seen the best of Perez long ago, his touch is only bested by his decision making in shittiness. That selfish shot with Ritchie across the back to tap in should have seen him subbed. Thankfully we've got some players out there who try, namely Gouffran, Ritchie and Yedlin in this one, but we're carrying a lot of players with horrible attitudes, no concentration and little aptitude. Shelvey is technically the best we've got by a margin, but he's a whiff away from a red card at any point, can't dictate the pace of the game and goes absent. Lascelles has gone well and truly off the boil (lukewarm 'boil' as it were) and needs a rest. Clark's OG was a first rate howler but he's got more about him than his partner. Hard to rate Murphy as he wasn't given much to work with. Overall we were embarrassing and yet we had more than enough chances to comfortably. So wasteful. Worrying too if the rumours of unrest are true.
