Brighton Rock Suckers v Jones who puts out the Cones
OTF replied to wykikitoon's topic in Newcastle Forum
Imagine Schar and Fernandez watching this having been told they're not good enough to make the team. They're not world beaters but this lot would concede goals to Manchester United '58. -

We are so shit with the ball it's frankly embarrassing, in training 11 v 11 both 11s must struggle to get 20% possession. -

This teams wins in training all the time - they'll be training down the champions league house next season. -

Lazy and stupid from Clark. Also annoying that their player simulated further contact by going down so late, ugly part of the game, I'd say there's a case for a card or at least a warning for them. -

I like Jones and think he's had a positive impact on the team, but I feel like he's not good on the big picture versus the smaller details. In other words as a specialised trainer he will be good to have around but is a way off having the arsenal to manage a side. So I hope he stays on and works well with Howe and his team. Listening to Howe speak he sounds intelligent, reasoned and articulate three components sorely lacking in our former manager. Jones was brought in to help the deficiencies in Bruce's capabilities but now the shoe will be on the other foot and Howe will have the same effect on Jones. -

The Oil Tanker. You guys ought to get more involved in the match threads, full of foreigners, old folk and acronyms - they're a joy to behold. -
Nice of Brighton and Potter to let him take charge, assume he'll name goalies in the outfield and Trossard in goals.

Mate, if he realised he could just eat on the shitter and save the walking all of them would have been spent there comfort eating whilst sobbing going through comments on twitter.

Absolutely at some point you have to stand back and admit that he's doing a much better job of ridiculing himself than anyone else could ever do. -
Get the helicopter ready and prepare the lines! Double denim for this one?

A bit rude to leave his other son Emile out.

When they heard they didn't have to come in for training in the morning they must have feared that the fat waste of space, tactically inept cabbage head was back in town.

Interesting. #NoSuchThingAsTheFish

Also, not a great look potentially burning bridges in his native country. Likely weighed up the very real risk of relegation which would have surely seen him want to piss off back home in a hurry. I wonder what the prospective managers are being told in regards to available funds for transfers in January, why can't they leak that to the press instead of all this other harmful stuff...

Good post. Could this be the week when CT can rightly say he is getting the hang of this forum lark?

Jones Cabbage Soup Legacy v Tuchel's Tall Tossers - SJP Sat 15:00

The biggest worry is not from losing this game, it's from barely being able to string two passes together and most of our players appearing to have the composure of Boumsong or Peter Ramage or BUJ7 on the ball. -
The treatment of Nuno as well as Daniel Levy in general won't make their next appointment straightforward. If we weren't where we are on the table you'd say in many respects managing here would be a more enticing prospect.

In all honesty it may not be that much of an impediment. Of course it will be a deterrent to many players, but to others that are young and coming through the ranks a season in the championship with guaranteed time on the pitch the time to adjust to life in England would work. Likewise for the right manager it would form the ideal platform for implementing their system. Of course there is no guarantee of promotion, and we don't know what is in our players contracts relating to relegation but you would have to imagine that we would be capable of securing automatic promotion.

For the record and to my surprise Fernandez's exclusions from this game and the Palace one were tactical. Jones favours Clark and Krafth in defense over him, and also over Schar. He chose Schar for the bench spot as he sees him as more versatile. Based on everything I've seen I'd have a fit Fede as the first choice defender. Not only do I believe that he is our most consistent defender but he's also one of the best on the ball and generally doesn't make many errors. But what would I know. -

I know it's the reality of our team, particularly against this opposition, but man this is a tough watch.
