  1. Do you think the vaccines have saved lives? If everyone was of your mindset how many more people would have died? It's as simple as that. If you don't want to act in the interest of general society's health and well-being then why should you enjoy the other benefits that come from being in one? The truth is that authorities have to cater for the lowest common denominator when it comes to governing and you're putting yourself into that category with your current position. Rayvin's post illustrates this nicely. You're not being asked to be an expert in healthcare, you're being asked to trust the countless years of collective research analysis and experience from the experts in the field and to act accordingly. You can't simply operate under a "dumb down a complex issue into something that makes sense to me" model because there's too much at risk and your actions extend beyond your own welfare.
  2. As well as being partially wrong this is classic anti-vaxxer talk. Have you ever been to a Dr and thought this Dr is not very good? Or are all Drs equal? So is it that the handful that say the opposite to the thousands and thousands that are right because they're the only ones who are competent or not corrupt? Or are you listening to those not very good (or worse) Drs? One thing this pandemic has proved to me is how many misguided or logic lacking people are out there. Thankfully the majority of folk are considerate enough to take on the small risk that vastly reduces the much bigger risk for the elderly, immunocompromised or those with significant comorbidities. Hopefully we can move beyond this soon and the selfish, ill-informed can go back into hiding. The above paragraph is not a shot at you Asprilla, as I've only seen part of your opinion.
  3. Kids can't socially distance.
  4. When I saw how many people died wearing seatbelts I immediately stopped wearing one, sheeple.
  5. Even it's only an agreement between us and Atletico Madrid and the real fee is much higher, I'm all for it. With the exclusive from Diego we know they're party to some interesting approaches....
  6. That tweet has aged about as well as Edwards himself.
  7. Questions are now being asked Until now they have been beyond reproach.
  8. It's a necessary move based on a whole raft of short sighted tight arsed moves.
  9. Can you imagine the players chipping in to get their own (shared personal) football manager adjacent to Bruce. It's pretty much what Jones was in the end, except he was funded by Ashley in one of his classic attempts to paper over the cracks.
  10. You say "his own" almost as though Bruce included one on his coaching staff*. I suppose his Slimming World consultant kind of counts as a fitness coach of sorts... * No offense to the fitness coach during Bruce's tenure, I'm sure they were a lovely person.
  11. I feel like this will curse him, but for all his everpresence and more recently his running and battling he has a very good injury record. The kind that goes hand in hand with being the level of professional that we're now learning that he is.
  12. And that smokey sax track has me in the mood for some peak 90s erotic thriller sex scenes.
  13. Agree that it wasn't too bad. No doubt given his professionalism he's also been working hard on that good lad.
  14. It was a depressing and traumatic miracle that we weren't relegated under him. The truth is the suffering of watching us with him at the helm (bullshitting results on the back of some individual runs of form) was worse than relegation because we had to listen to 'pundits' singing his praises.
  15. It's not a red, he was busting a gut to get back to try to put some pressure on Lukaku. Lukaku knew he was coming, and that he was going too fast to pull out so stuck his arm out to protect his space, which he is fully within his rights to do, and bam contact with no chance of Konsa getting the ball.
  16. If his english was a bit better I'd have no problem with this.
  17. This is a good comparison, feels silly saying it but not many others compare with the physicality and athleticism that he's bringing lately. Cabaye and Tiote are not bad shouts positionally CT just that Cabaye never had the physicality and Tiote never had the attacking impetus, neither had the aerial presence of Joelinton either. We can only hope that he maintains this level of pressing and involvement.
  18. And honestly for one of the first times this season we had a good and fair refereeing performance. Funny that it coincides with one our best games of the season despite it being against vastly more fancied opponents.
  19. It's frustrating mainly because what they scored was not even a good goal, it was Lascelles ball watching instead of marking and then a badly scuffed shot from the rebound.
  20. The players and Howe are obviously in a good place right now which is impressive, attitude wise we were heads and shoulders above Manure. We have a good run of games coming up - Everton, Southampton, Watford, Leeds, Everton again then Aston Villa, but with Wilson likely to be out for the bulk of them we need some scoring reinforcements as noone else we have is a consistent scorer.
  21. Reporter to Joelinton: "Can I be completely honest - I didn't think you were that good" Then Sean Longstaff gave him massive props saying he's the best player in training and you always want him on your side and it's disrespectful the negative attention he has garnered.
  22. I haven't watched it yet but will. The effort from the players out there was impressive but don't think they'll be able to turn around in a few days time with Wilson gone and have the same level of intensity.
