  1. I'm mostly inclined to think the same way but given our current predicament and the fact that it's January we'll unfortunately have to pay more than normal if the selling club wants to keep the player. If we stay up we'll be playing from a much more dominant position. If we have alternatives that are near enough in quality that we can move on quickly it's a different story.
  2. If they're fully fit play the best we have. A win helps us in every way possible.
  3. I know the premier league are suspect and all but surely they don't count Hendrick as a player?
  4. I'd like to go on record as being wholly opposed to 'Pubic Shag Advocates'.
  5. "Public Health Advocate" has become a synonym for fuckwit.
  6. Now that you mention it I'm starting to see some merit in Asprilla's medical opinion.
  7. I'm even slightly optimistic about him (and Eddie) improving Lascelles.
  8. You love to see it. An exciting turning point. A lot of hard work to come on and off the pitch.
  9. Agree that the politicians are using this to curry favour with the general population who are happy with the resulting treatment of Djokovic. Personally I don't think he should have been granted an exception to begin with and there therefore would have been none of this drama. I understand that tennis Australia would have been desperate for him to play and probably for him to also win and claim the record but by the same token they should have been able to read the room to know how unpopular letting someone in who has been wholly irresponsible throughout the pandemic just because they're good at tennis was going to be. It would be very difficult without conducting blood tests to actually confirm whether someone has been covid positive and when that was. As far as official documentation goes that would be very varied, and if it's a case of providing some sort of medical confirmation from a Dr, then money talks and you would have to take it with a grain of salt given the petulant track record of Djokovic and his entourage.
  10. The Brett Emerton video has has 7 script re-writes and 8 directors, apparently the test screening audiences haven't responded well to the part where Baines features.
  11. Please don't change my words, my post above properly enunciates why I took the vaccine. The everything else you refer to is not an "instead of" being vaccinated, it's an "as well as". It's of course good that you are following other directives at least even though you're missing the most important one. It's a radical approach when if everyone did the same countless medical systems would be horrifically overrun and likely millions more would die. You plainly don't understand that it is not just a personal choice when the impact of that choice is not just on the individual making it. Unless you're planning on permanently isolating from society in which case your approach would no longer be radical. I think I've said all that needs to be said on this.
  12. He was granted a visa based on information that was provided before departing ie. saying I'm medically exempt from being vaccinated because I have had coronavirus within the last x weeks or possibly something to that effect. Then upon landing he's been asked to provide evidence of the information provided and has not been able to, hence the visa has been cancelled. I think that's approximately the summary.
  13. The Australian regime of "if you say you have a legitimate medical exemption please provide evidence". The best but is he's absolutely desperate to play here because he generally crushes it and was a super strong chance of winning and going clear on 21 slams. An amazing tennis player but a bell end on the court and it seems off it.
  14. I work from home, have been since early 2020. I'm young, fit and healthy. I took the vaccine because medical professionals expressed with copious amounts of evidence that being vaccinated was going to result in the best possible health outcomes for all, especially the elderly and the unwell. I sought out getting it as soon as possible (had to wait a while due to my age) and was vaccinated with both doses. When I'm due my booster I will be getting it. I continue to work from home. I go out to the shops for food etc, visit family (including my parents who were another tick in the box for getting vaccinated - they too were vaccinated as soon as possible, they're retired) and don't do a whole bunch more apart from playing social sport when restrictions allow it. I'm not a doctor or in health care so I listen to what the experts in the field advise, doing my own reading along the way and looking at the countless example countries around the world where the results of a variety of different approaches are evident. In particular I have been interested in what's happening in England because through this forum I have a conduit to it.
  15. You've already proved you know next to nothing, you can rest your case.
  16. What narrative are you referring to? The one where millions of people have died due to the ongoing global pandemic? Pointing out someone else who may or may not be worse than you doesn't make your decision a better one, or you less selfish.
  17. No, I didn't say anything remotely similar. Let me dumb it down for you as you seem to have selective comprehension issues; not doing what the medical fraternity advises with current health crises (when on an individual or societal level) will generally result in poor health outcomes. Sometimes those long term outcomes will be for you, sometimes they will be for other more vulnerable members in the community. Luckily most members of society are intelligent enough to realise this which makes up, in part, for the dead weight like you, who would otherwise be dragging everyone down. Some people are selfish and lack empathy, they're of the narcissistic "got mine, fuck everyone else" child like mentality whether or not they know or accept it. Dressing it up like an individual health concern doesn't fool anyone.
  18. Just answer the question, it's not a difficult question. I didn't ask for your medical history. You're right, you're not alone, you're no doubt in some sort of echo chamber with like minded people espousing the same counter authority rhetoric to cover for being scared/silly/anti-intellectualist or whatever it happens to be.
  19. There's many long term studies and countless evidence that being counter medicine has very bad long term health outcomes but hey, don't let that worry you at all.
  20. I don't smoke, I'm not obese and I have the occassional drink, don't remember the last time I was properly drunk. But none of this is even remotely relevant. Even if I did all of the above at once whilst bonnet surfing down the highway the NHS should be safe.
  21. Have you had a competent medical professional diagnose this and advise you not to take the vaccine? Have they also determined that the magical anti-vaxxer vaccine that is always on the horizon is safe for you and your "specific medical reasons" or are you talking absolute horse shit?
