The Entirely Unreasonable Transfer Deadline Day Thread
OTF replied to Andrew's topic in Newcastle Forum
It's true though, we scored first a lot. We'll be conceding less late on as our conditioning improves under Howe and crucially when we start playing less shit players. -

We've barely scraped a goal a game, not exactly setting the world on fire up front. Only three teams have scored less. But also, yes, only one team has conceded more. -

Him and Colo playing it out from the back.... -

Enrique was bloody fantastic to be fair, we had him for the best part of his career as well with injuries ruining him and turning him into a keeper at Liverpool. -

Must be daft to not realise after all this time that a bench is just to hold up cart horses, cloggers, semi-crocks and kids rather than 'attacking options'. -

I wonder if we'll see any more out. Hopwfully Hendrick first, but Hayden, Clark, Gayle all should be getting shopped heavily. -

Loan makes a bit more sense, going to be very interesting to see what our list of 25 looks like at the end of this. -

You're not wrong but if it's a choice between Henderson and Lingard I'd take Lingard in our situation. That changes if Ekitike signs. -

If this goes through would that be the end of the Lingard interest? -

I'm not sure the injury state of Dubravka, whether he's playing with a niggling injury or what, but he made a fantastic save in the Leeds game and assuming he is fit I'd be happy enough with him and Darlow as backup. Darlow did have a couple of poor games but otherwise I thought he was reasonable. -

Is it possible that Targett has two fronts and that's why essembee fancies him so much? -
Played in a new league out of position with the worst (RIP JK) manager in the clubs Premier League history. I'm not saying I'm convinced that he's going to be a consistent performer but from what we've seen of late we know he's going to bust a lung trying. I trust Eddie to make the right decision regarding his future.

Absolutely, talk about making it personal. Here's hoping this is not a banana peel.

Sadly true it seems. Could potentially go somewhere in the championship where he's not under the pump and lay as a CB. -

Knowing Rafa you would have to side with him on the players attitude not being great despite him having the technical ability. -

If it goes through Targett does seem an odd signing when we already have that level of player available. Perhaps there is some link with Howe and he believes in him, perhaps it's just to shake up our other options and a response to knowing that Dummett is injury prone? Will it be the end of Lewis? -
The timing was always highly suspect as he applied to enter the tournament in November but only contracted "COVID" in mid December. Don't think the vainglorious twat and his entourage (who are probably used to getting whatever they want) will have thought it would get a second look as no doubt Tennis Australia were desperate for him to play.

Big pharma.

Rips it in training according to Longstaff, wait until he's alongside his compatriot with the Kiwi van Nistelrooj, the next ballon d'or winner and the Bald Tom Brady.

I have closely examined a youtube clip of Weghorst and can safely say that he is nearly as good as Luque, and that Assburg and the liked have some weak as piss defenders. He looks like a good pick up for them, knows where the goal is though it's a much harder ask to score for Burnley in the PL than for Wolfburg in the Bundesliga so only time will tell. -

Dare I say he may encounter someone with a similar attitude towards sex in prison, but the positions will be alternated. -
Great to know you think so highly of me.

I need to rebrand with a catchier, more memorable name. Early market research has me leaning towards either Diego2 or NotTheFish.
