  1. Sadly it does, one is last man fouling vs an unnecessary collision after play was stopped.
  2. Quite frankly it's the best problem to have. With ASM injured now I'm guessing the focus will switch to sending balls into Wood with both Murphy and Fraser able to get pace and movement on crosses. W will need someone from the midfield three getting forward to work off Wood if this is to work.
  3. As if Fulham would let Mitro go until they're promoted anyway. Wood is a good fit for the remainder of the season and offers something that we don't have from any of our other players. As an option next season as well he will be useful. People baulk at the price but that's what was required to get fast business done in the window with a player who's a known entity in the league.
  4. Couldn't cut it in Europe at Inter or Benfica, would have been a shocking useless signing to bring in to a club in a relegation battle.
  5. Told you lot that there was no ligament damage for Manquillo. A back four with him, Zoolander, Burn and Targett should be serviceable until Trips is back.
  6. "HANDS APART JAMAL! NO CLAPPING!"
  7. I'll also say that hopefully there is no need to attempt to rush him back.
  8. And just like that we're fucked again. Jokes obviously, a little bit fucked it more accurate. Hopefully he's still in and around the labs to lead even though he won't be on the pitch. Signing Targett has now become a masterstroke, hopefully Manquillo is ok also because I don't like the thought of relying on Krafth or Ritchie and given his injury history it would be foolish to expect Dummett to play a big part. I've no idea how recently Burn has played in a FB role, I'm going to assume not recently and not a lot so it will be down to the others to take the slack.
  9. And on top of that Wood is a player who will do what his team needs to succeed. Mitro will do what Mitro needs to succeed, or otherwise not be bothered.
  10. These lazy moron pundits did not watch enough of us through Bruce to know how insipid the football was, and how generally indolent the club had become, and so they will also have not seen how that has transformed in such a short period under Howe. We're playing as a team with a collective purpose, even Shelvey is pulling his weight. If this can be maintained for the remainder of the season we'll go into the summer with a fantastic trajectory that should only continue into the transfer market. It's far from done yet but the attitude shift is as clear as night and day and it extends through all aspects of the club including the owners, management, coaches, players and the supporters. We asked for a club that tries and that's what we're finally getting. And it feels fucking great.
  11. Mitro would score goals in the premier league if he was in a team where plenty of service is provided. None of those teams are interested in him. He's also not a player who appears to be in the greatest of shape for his age, so he's seemingly only going to beef up and slow down more. 27 now but you'd think he was older.
  12. Even though we stay in 17th. Now four points clear of the drop zone.
