    Eddie Howe

Whether the owners have addressed the issue or not is not going to make a skerrick of difference to the questions Howe has to field. The journalists are not interested in any sort of progress or resolution but rather they're searching for an inflammatory sensationalist headline. They will continue to have direct access to Howe through pre and post match press conferences and the like so Howe's approach is the best one, keep it cordial but give them nothing and stay consistent on that. They'll eventually realise they're not going to get what they want.
  2. Good luck Robin, was going to regale you with the tale of a mate of mine who had similar and now has a pacemaker (put in around 35) but now Gemmill has one upped that I've got nought else to say.
  3. From the post game presser: Trent Crimm: "Steve, can you comment on the tactics employed tonight?" Steve: "Well, the tactic was to win the match, and I think we can all agree it was a great one that worked well" TC: "Would you consider using these tactics again?" Steve: "Now Trent, I wasn't born yesterday, can't go giving away all my secrets now can I"
  4. Classic twitter virtue signalling nonsense. Journalists being contradictory by attending, they're ultimately gaining employment by covering the league and the teams in the league (specifically Chelsea and Newcastle here) so some of their "ultimate bosses" are the same. If they felt so strongly about it they should boycott the league until it's full of humanitarian owners and the winner is the team who save the most rainforests.
  5. Tuchel when asked about Havertz' elbow, "Ah, the challenge in the air? I did not look at it honestly".... "I didn't see it so it's better not to comment".
  6. This, everything we could control we did well, Burn got caught slightly flat footed and the player who shouldn't have been out there finished fantastically. It was only that and a Lascelles bit of terrible positioning that had them threatening to score. Speaking of Lascelles, I'm convinced he's never going to have composure on the ball, the unnecessary turn overs on top of his penchant for not marking should keep him well down the pecking order.
  7. Aye, he's not got near the ball and they gave a corner didn't they? If that's not clear and obvious what is? Has to be a week off at least for the VAR.
  8. And all the know nothings who have never jumped for a header in their lives will say he had his arm there because it's a natural position.
  9. In the studio after the match, on Optus Sports over here.
  10. Shearer: "Ridiculous decision, pathetic, shocking" Regarding the missed penalty and everyone in full agreement. He's seething and rightfully so. Spoils the game and there is no defense for it.
  11. Elsewhere, Watford cheating to victory over home of the Spitfire by playing a manager they didn't have at the start of the season.
  12. Everyone: Havertz should be off Everyone: Penalty to Murphy Refs: Havertz goal
