He set us off on a counter attack that we scored from the other week in this way. He's taking longer than others to snap out of the Bruce inspired do as much or as little of whatever you want anti-coaching but there are signs that he's trying. Howe knows he's a one of a kind type of player and will want to harness that power. Let's be honest if he was the finished article with his ability on the ball he'd be in one of the top few clubs in the world. I feel like Howe will be the sort of manager who will be able to improve him, but there will always be an element of frustration or elation with a player like him, the trick is trying to swing it in the favour of the latter.

He was not great but he did seem to be more often looking for a passing option, sometimes to his detriment. He went on a brilliant mazy run beating several defenders and then forced a pass to Almiron who had his back to him at the top of the box. He also played a nice defense splitting through ball for Joelinton to run onto earlier in the game. There were signs there that he was trying to be more of a team player.

Couldn't watch this live but just watched it without knowing the result. Whay a finish. Well started by Targett and a driving run from Willock. Earlier I thought Miggy and Wood were leading by example with effort. Jonjo also breaking up play frequently by getting in good positions. All in all I thought tactically it was well played by Howe and although it was late eventually their tired legs showed and we took advantage. Love this team.

Truth is it doesn't even need a comeback. They need every scintilla of relief from their continual suffering, if that's feeling smug about our former owner's mismanagement then so be it.

We're not desperate for cash no, but 50M in will actually be spent now instead of being pocketed with some creative accounting. I agree though, at least another season. He's a rare talent with ability that can't be coached, unfortunately it seems that the previous three words also apply to him in general. Time for him to mature and up his work ethic and footballing intelligence. It will actually work in his favour also because at the moment he's predictable for defenders who know they can throw two or three at him without risk of him releasing the ball early.
