  1. Parked his hummer over two disabled spots when going on a peasant hunting expedition I heard. And that's not a spelling mistake.
  2. If that price is accurate I'd be saying no thanks.
  3. Let's be real for a moment, if you were a Forest fan you'd not be posting on a Newcastle United forum.
  4. Noone has ever accused me of being a fashionista, but it looks about the same to me just shorter. 🤷‍♂️
  5. On the surface it's madness, but they'll be seeing it as pay 10M in wages for a player who would command that much in transfer fees easily if he was still under contract. Of course even a freely available player will have an agent wanting to wet their beak on the deal so there will have been some coin outside the wages involved as well. It's a Mike Ashley'esque move a gamble for them to try to retain premier league status which is where the real windfall is. Attacking players are notoriously expensive, so it could potentially be a good deal for them, but only if Lingard wants to compete. The motivation for him is probably more about what comes next, do even reasonably well and Lingard and his agent then get to do the same again next season when at the age of 30 I'd say they'll be looking for a 2 or 3 year deal.
  6. Keep me posted if they release a sequel.
  7. I'm a few hours into this, thanks Robin.
  8. Worked under Howe last season, why upset the apple cart? It didn't influence who got on the pitch.
  9. There ends my pre-season punditry, thanks for listening folks.
  10. Have a look at the team sheet, looks like it's team 1 out, team 2 in. Team Shortstaff and that Jax bloke on the bench.
  11. Yeah I can't believe I'm saying that about Krafth, but credit where it is due.
  12. I like Manquillo as he's reasonable at getting forward but if there's interest I reckon he'll be sold. Krafth is more versatile and is favoured by Howe and with Lewis returned from injury Howe might fancy giving him a spot in the 25 instead.
  13. Agree, but Lascelles will be in the squad for sure so we have to hope against all odds that everyone else stays fit or that he suddenly develops an ability to mark and work cohesively in a defensive unit.
  14. I had heard this somewhere, can't recall where. Pretty sad that New Zealand's Chris Wood could only manage third given his advantage through corners.
  15. GK: Dub, Pope, Karlow FB: Trips, Targett, Krafth*, Manquillo, Lewis CB: Schar, Bots, Burn, Lascelles CM: Bruno, Joe, Shelvey, Willock, SLongstaff WG: ASM, Fraser, Miggy, Murphy, TBA FW: Wilson, Wood, TBA Krafth has been a different player under Howe (with improved players beside him also) and he also gives cover for CB. I didn't include Dummett because he's too susceptible to injury or Fede because through no visible fault of his own he's been out of the picture under Howe. Anderson is under 21 so can be included also, but expect him to be loaned of so that he's playing. I'm hoping that Lewis can be reborn under Howe if given a chance. Murphy is a good mobile attacking option off the bench. He'd be quite saleable too, with plenty of interest from upper tier championship sides if we wanted to move him on.
  16. Pretty impressive for Australia's Christopher Wood to get on the podium given he'd be one of the heaviest in the squad. Matty Longstaff to be given a chance this season or just there as a filler? Doesn't qualify as under 21 from this season so would be tough for him to crack a spot in the 25 unless he's turned into peak Paul Scholes over the break. More likely to be out on loan again.
  17. Fraser almost needed a ladder to climb onto the podium
  18. Clark always had a clanger in him, in the championship less likely to be punished for them. He was otherwise a good player, more than decent at attacking the ball on set pieces too. Does that mean Hendrick scored in his first and last games for us and did less than fuck all in between.
  19. That's a rather odd offensive move.
  20. I thought that said MONG on the shorts for a moment, oddly although not PC it made perfect sense.
