  1. Have Spurs turned on the wild weather abortion feature in their fancy stadium?
  2. I agree, but on aggregate he has allowed the game to flow which I think hasn't hurt us.
  3. Watching the replay on that Almiron goal; last season and before he goes down every time after that contact from Sessegnon (it was a foul) but under Howe with his confidence he doesn't even think about it.
  4. This is a much better refereeing performance from Gillett to be fair, who has been abysmal in the past. He's allowed the game to flow by letting light contact go in both directions.
  5. Lucky for Spurs they hadn't changed their soiled sheets when they shat the bed a second time.
  6. Every touch on thay run was with his left foot Love you Miggy 🥰
  7. That's a deft finish with the left foot. A joke that they looked at that so much and then even tried to turn it into a handball...
  8. It's phenomenal how quickly Howe has improved our passing out of defense. Pope has had a great start to the game.
  9. I agree with this, they were pretty line ball and you could make cases in both favours for each. Haaland doesn't need to make that much contact to get to the ball I don't think and that's why they allowed it, but seriously if you use that as a precedent for what is allowed without a foul being called then there's a role for judo masters in the game. If I was a Brighton player I'd have been very tempted to throw down a Man City player in a 50/50 somewhere in the middle of the pitch just to question the ref as to why that was a free kick and Haaland's wasn't. But then I'm a churlish and petulant bastard.
  10. I thought Sir Elton supported Watford not Leeds?
  11. Burn is actually a pretty solid left back, but physics dictates that someone that big is not going to have the agility of all of the wingers he will come up against. Although Murphy does plenty of running he's too lightweight and indecisive to be effective defensively so together I think they're a slight defensive weakness. That has to be weighed against the benefit of having Burn out there for set pieces, both defending them and having them ourselves. At the moment you can't really argue with the results given we lead the league in fewest goals and most clean sheets, but there has been a good few times where we've ridden our luck down our left. At some point if Burn is shown up and we concede then it will open up for Targett to return as I think Eddie has full confidence in him also.
  12. I agree, we didn't have a great deal of urgency in the second half to score, almost like we were so confident in their inability to score (or our ability to defend them) that we were largely just going through the motions.
  13. Is that a steward there asking to see his ticket? Might take a while if it's in his pocket.
