  1. Exactly, now that it's impossible for it be taken off them they can do what they want.
  2. The England team are pretty tolerant of various pants, but apparently draw the line at flares. Fun fact: It's not the width of the pant that is a concern but rather the exponential nature of their widening.
  3. Imagine being so filthy rich that you want to buy hosting rights to the biggest sporting event in the world, not so you can improve the international perception of your country, not for the betterment of your country, not for the people of your region (because you're routinely in disputes with them including several active ones), not to leave a legacy for future generations (because the additional infrastructure is almost exclusively temporary or semi-temporary), not even because you're enamoured with the sport or to honour the tradition of the sport in your country (you've never qualified for the World Cup and your immediate neighbour, with whom you're in a lengthy dispute with, holds the upper hand over you despite having roughly half your population.... but don't fear - your team has remarkably improved in very recent years, wholly unrelated to the fact that near half of your players aren't from Qatar).... but rather so that you can have some sort of smug satisfaction about forcing people to live according to your rules and about the mere fact that you were actually able to buy it. What a time to be alive.
  4. Went to three games in South Africa, including Australia getting punished by Germany. Honestly the vuvulzela's weren't that bad at the ground once you get used to them (that's what you have to tell yourself so you don't go completely mad at the stupid fucking things). By the third game I brought my own to the game to add to the atmosphere....
  5. He missed the squad, but he's an outside chance of hosting the World Cup in 2030.
  6. If you're unlucky enough to be there that's got to hurt. Once again fuck FIFA and the former president Blatter who 'courageously' now comes out saying it was a bad choice. No fucking shit you fat headed fuckwit.
  7. I ordered a club polo and a couple of the current jackets the other day on discount. Preparing to be underwhelmed with the quality, but thankfully that probably won't matter as I'll rarely wear them anyway. Wish they didn't have the Fun88 sponsor on them. The Castore stuff I have already is better quality than the latest Puma stuff I got. The last Puma shirt I bought is the most plastic feeling strip ever.
  8. Unlikely to have been related to the matching keffiyeh you were wearing.

True, the cross-breeding royals are getting the worst treatment, so much so that I heard they won't be allowed to compete at the next Crufts.

Yep, mongrel, mixed-breed, mutt, designer dog whatever you want to call them. Cavoodles are selectively bred for the combination of traits from Poodles (hair not fur - this is awesome, no fur everywhere, smart and trainable) and Cavaliers (gentle, affectionate, shorter muzzle) and something they call hybrid vigour that prevents some of the genetic issues that they could otherwise get if they were purebred. That said purebred is just selective breeding of dogs with certain physical or temperament based traits anyway, just done many many years ago and often bringing about significant health issues. Anyway, dogs are awesome, especially this one.
  11. If you've got as far as flying to Qatar you either must know that it's not right and don't care or you're living in a fantasy land.
  12. That's a great point that I hadn't even thought about until now. We're not going to have any World Cup fanny on show, fucking corrupt money hungry FIFA committee members. It doesn't even pass the pub test* let alone the level of scrutiny that an organisation like FIFA should have enforced. It's indisputable that it's all about money. It's only the smallest consolation but at least we know that despite spunking absurd amounts of money to get and then host the World Cup it's going to improve the perception of the country (and general area) to effectively noone, and in fact it's more likely to have a negative effect. I don't even think it's an attempt at 'sportswashing' more a status based move, but I suppose needs to be considered along with the purchase of PSG as well. * Australian term, meaning a conversational level analysis (as in pub chat) of something amongst the general public.

We just got a puppy a few weeks ago. Cavoodle (which is what we call Cavapoos in Australia). So far she is excellent, playful but trains well too. We know the mother dog and she has an amazing temperament so when she was bred we snapped up one of the litter. We have been crating her and it works really well. We pop her in when we go to bed and have it adjacent to our bed so she can still see us. A little bit of whimpering at the start and once she settled she was fine. Took her out in the early hours for a toilet break, but pretty much since then have been putting her in around 10pm and not getting her out until 6AM. What I'm most worried about with her is separation anxiety. I work from home at least 4 days a week so it will be tough for her when I do go into the office.
  14. Last year at this stage we had scored 17 and conceded 30. To go a bit Fishy that's scoring 1.1 goals per game and conceding 2.0. This season we're scoring 2.1 goals per game and conceding just 0.7. That's a per game swing of 2.3 goals in our favour, absolutely incredible.
  15. Disappointing that we couldn't get Rich Energy and had to resort to Monster Energy.
  16. I love the slight delay before each barrage. Very well spoken for a fella in his second language and the passion cannot be questioned. The dig on Joe Willock was uncalled for but added to the comedic value.
  17. Well this all seems legit to me
  18. Just a reminder that he cost Chelsea 60m pounds + Between him and Potter Brighton's Xmas, end of season etc etc parties are definitely on Chelsea.
  19. Absolutely, and good to see him embrace it in good humour. It's got be a thing now.
  20. Jamal Lascelles in contention for player of the month with his yellow card from the sideline.
  21. There was suggestion that we wouldn't be able to continue to press like that, not only did we do so, but did so without any early subs. ♥️
