  1. Tonali bailing out Livramento this time.
  2. He badly misfit that into the perfect shot the lucky bastard.
  3. Deserved lead for them, we're asleep.
  4. Geez, shit start, good save Dubravka, very lucky they've not scored on the initial shot or the follow up.
  5. Not likely with that beast between the sticks.
  6. No way they let him leave and jeopardise auto promotion. And then if they do come up they'll demand a huge fee.
  7. #HoweOut? Time for another thread @LongTimeAdmirer?
  8. Though he didn't get everything right his quality was clear IMO.
  9. Meanwhile, Sammy, not being triggered at all.
  10. @PaddockLad explaining the connection to anyone doubting his inside knowledge.
  11. I agree with most of @The Fish's points on Almiron and Kelly, but also on some of @Toonpack's regarding Kelly. For me, we'd have to get a solid amount to get rid of Kelly. Though he did technically come on a free such signings are normally bolstered by higher than normal sign-on fees and wages. Getting the wages off the books might be of benefit if we didn't have an aging centre back population with pending contact expiries. I believe Howe will see Kelly as the replacement for Lascelles as a fourth choice centre back. We know the club are still looking to bring in Botman's longer term partner to replace Schär who is likely to only have another season in him at this level (he's only a few months younger than Paul Dummett). Likewise Dan Burn is of the age where he may only have another year or two in him. Under Howe's stewardship we've seen Lascelles look better than ever and Krafth as well. Kelly has the physical attributes l, so if he has the right attitude (and you assume he does based on us signing him with Howe's history with him) then there's room for improvement as well. If we sell him we'll have to buy someone else. Krafth, Lascelles and Schär's contracts all expire in 6 months time. I expect we'd be looking to extend Schär's but likely not either of the others unless we sell Kelly. Almiron would go with my blessing. He's always given his all, has a great attitude but has been far from his best when given chances recently. His purple patch was a thing of beauty, and picking up a premier league player of the month award is nothing to sneeze at. The most one legged player I recall playing for us.
  12. He was turning out 90 mins for Italy no worries. It was just Howe's way of introducing him to the first 11 without upsetting the balance and treading on toes.
  13. No clubs breached PSR for 23-24 apparently. More like the Premier League knew that it would not be worthwhile pursuing anyone, so the loophole paper transfers that benefit PSR bottom lines are all good and even breaches are OK if you're ok with the arduous and costly process of arbitration. Hopefully this is an indication of a move away from this misguided attempt to monopolise the control of the incumbent big clubs. Sean Kearns BBC Sport Published 14 January 2025 The Premier League has not charged any clubs for breaches of its financial rules after all were deemed financially compliant for the 2023-24 season. Most top-flight clubs had to submit their accounts for the 2023-24 season by 31 December and the Premier League is satisfied all 20 members have remained within its profit and sustainability rules (PSR). Under PSR, clubs cannot post losses of more than £105m over a three-year period. It had been reported Leicester City were one of a number of clubs close to breaching the Premier League's margins for allowed losses. The Foxes avoided a points deduction after they won an appeal against a charge in September, which covered the three years up until the end of the 2022-23 season. An independent panel found the Premier League did not have the jurisdiction to punish the Foxes as the club had been relegated to the EFL Championship when their accounting period ended on 30 June 2023. In a joint statement on Tuesday, Leicester and the Premier League said the matter remains "the subject of confidential arbitration proceedings".
  14. Setting aside positional nonense, he's undeniably a talented young keeper but there's surely no way Burnley sell him and risk unsettling their run at auto-promotion to the premier league. Still has a few years to run on his contract also.
  15. Aye they came to play their way which worked at times, but ultimately backfired.
  16. Once we lock up CL qualification then give him a new contract.
  17. Hope he's saved something for the weekend.
