You can tell by his reaction that he knows he should have saved it too, carrying on like there was some sort of transgression that impacted his ability to save it. He has mostly performed well for England in the big tournaments, but you have to wonder whether Pope would have been playing if he hadn't had a bit of a mare in the game he started in the lead up. You have to say on balance England have had the better chances, Kane's one on one on particular. Pickford should have got a hand on their goal. In his defense it came through the defenders legs but that distance is where he's at his worst.
