  1. How's Howe by the way; makes two changes to the side and three goals from those players thus far. That should be their left back off with a second yellow. He's gash anyway so may be better for us that he's stayed on.
  2. Made Longstaff look decidedly pedestrian several minutes back, went to top gear and blew by him.
  3. Dan Burn expectedly gets his head to a lot of balls, then it's a complete lottery as to where it goes.
  4. Commentary mentioned Schär and face and I thought it was a bit early for him.
  5. If Isak is feeling good he will start and rightfully so. Whoever in midfield had a knock will be replaced by Joelinton I reckon otherwise unchanged.
  6. When we win I will start to think about the possibility of Champion's League next season.
  7. The look on his face says "does this photographer even know my name?"
  8. I'm constantly expecting them to win and yet they continue to lose and slip lower and lower.
  9. I have no problem with Howe using him the way he has. He's an option that provides unique ability and impact. I wouldn't consider what we saw of ASM under Bruce as being part of his current reckoning. Whilst we've definitely seen inconsistency from him under Howe we've also seen a willingness to adapt his game and contribute more. He's never going to be dependable in his all-round game but with the amount of substitutes and bench players you can carry we'd be silly to get rid of him IMO.
  10. Their books are going to make for some very interesting reading. They don't need accountants, they need fiction writers.
  11. Playing out the suspension he should have received a few weeks back in good faith on the pitch.
  12. Necessary for our progression. Plus if there's a cup final to lose it's that one. Financially speaking it made next to no difference that we lost.
  13. His movement and confidence on the ball have been impressive.
  14. His consistency may be similar but he has changed a lot as a player under Howe. With Bruce he was allowed to do what he wanted and the ball was consistently funneled to him hoping for some magic with no expectations on his outside attack. Under Howe he knows he has to fit in the team, which means contributing defensively and passing. He could have easily had a couple more assists in this and the pass that was converted by Willock you could have previously seen him somehow instead trying to score himself.
