  1. "Ah, but I have plenty of gypo pals from over in those Eastern countries!"
  2. Massive congratulations to the women's team on securing promotion on the final day of the season on goal difference. A very closely fought race with only the champion promoted to the Women's National League Northern Premier Divosion (third tier). This is the first season they have operated under the ownership of NUFC. Hopefully we continue the climb to the much less confusingly named second and top divisions.
  3. And Wilson was somehow still isolated through the middle, a few times he brought the ball down well only to be crowded off it by two or three defenders. They obviously can work together but it depends on the game. I think I prefer Howe determining that part way through a game. There's enough subs allowed now to facilitate making multiple tactical changes so I'd start with one (probably Isak) and then bring Wilson on. Glad that I waited for the Man Utd result to determine whether I needed to worry. We need to clean up Leeds now with a dominant display.
  4. Exactly, because they then hide behind the illusion that the onfield ref still 'made the decision', when they will very rarely go against a call from a quiet box where it has been studied from all the different camera angles for an age with a determination reached that there had been a clear and obvious error made. If it's clear and obvious make the call from the VAR box AND broadcast the audio of the VAR explaining in clear terms why it was a clear and obvious error.
  5. Annoying but a lesson in that, have to be more controlled with our energy, we gave away too many chances where we either turned it over cheaply or gave too much space. Honestly though if the early shot hits the other side of the post it likely would have been a very different game. Hopefully nothing serious for Joelinton and we have Longstaff back soon. ASM brought good energy as a sub.
  6. This is comical from them, the diving pricks. Even the commentary who are about as pro-Arsenal as you can get are calling them out for it.
  7. Fuck that was a massive chance, great work from Burn and then a nice lay off from Isak. Xhaka, having recovered from three broken legs and a cracked back earlier in the game, came from nowhere to block it.
  8. Gallagher: "I think it's hit his leg" Shearer: (at 100 decibels) "You think, or you know Dermott!?" Gallagher: "well..." Shearer: "Are you 100%? If it's so obvious why did they have to look at it seven times? Are you 100% it's hit his leg?" Gallagher: (because he's a slimy ex-ref) "Yes" Then Ian Wright with coke bottle glasses chimes in saying they should have called it off his leg straight away, with Shearer still going on about it.
  9. Plus Wilson has been putting in some great work to rile up the defense. When Isak has the ball they start ball watching. Our midfield just have to keep us in this and we'll have chances up front.
