Despite Deportivo La Coruña coach Miguel Angel Lotina wanted to keep Coloccini for the upcoming Spanish La Liga season, Argentine defender Fabricio Coloccini was transferred to Premier League's Newcastle United FC. The estimated worth of the transfer is €11 million plus a bonus for goals achieved. "The teams reached to an agremeent; the only thing missing is a couple of contractual details", Coloccini agent Marcelo Lombilla said to Argentine radio station La Red.
