  1. It looks like we're going to be relegated soon when I read all the posts here. Yes, we were shite, but what do you expect from this squad? Anything other than a finish between 10th and 15th just isn't realistic when we're not going to strengthen the squad in January. It's only going to be dangerous if we continue to drop points against the likes of Wigan & Stoke at home. Talking of Uefa Cup is dreaming.
  2. To be fair it's sold out. My mother was ringing for tickets for clients to visit from Germany and basically they can end up paying daft daft prices and she was told there wasn't a single seat going Yeah, that's right. Didn't know yet - first game of the season with a 50'000+ attendance I suppose.
  3. Merry Christmas to everyone, enjoy it, especially Wykiki - for a better 2009! Santa didn't have any tickets for the Liverpool match for me
  4. That's the point. I don't think there's an other decent manager who would take charge here. Only a foreign guy, but it isn't always the perfect choice, just look at Ramos who actually was quite successful in Spain.
  5. I wonder where we'd be if he took the job here in September 2004. I used to hate Birmingham's style, it was proper Italian tactics, the game where we lost 0-1 here when they came up was one of the most frustrating I've ever seen. Since he's been at Wigan though I think it's hard to argue they play some attractive stuff at times, and he's proven he's a coach who can adapt. Not saying I WOULD want him now, but fair play of late. Yes, he's doing a decent job at Wigan, and he didn't do a bad job at Birmingham either, but I just pray he'll never get the job here. Of course the football Birmingham played under him was proper Italian Catenaccio, but to defend him he hadn't the players to play attacking football - at Wigan, he has the likes of Zaki, Valencia, Palacios etc. who possess some creativity. They need to attack at times, and some of the stuff they played so far was pretty good-looking. Again: Decent manager for the likes of Birmingham, Wigan & Co., but not for Newcastle. And I don't like him.
  6. For me, the worst two are Bentley and Gomes. Overall 23M£ for two ludicrous players. But the press will go on slamming NUFC's transfer policy.
  7. I dislike this fat frog. Hopefully he'll get what he deserves on Boying Day.
  8. Skysports cunts saying 2-1 to Wigan... Even Lawro saying 1-1 I go for a draw or a narrow win, Viduka to score.
  9. No need to work these things out, Statto does it for you... http://www.statto.com/football/stats/engla...able/2007-12-23 6 points currently separate 7th from 16th, this time last year it was 16. 24 points currently separate top from bottom, this time last year it was 36. Well, there's no Derby this season....... We certainly need to get ourselves in a strong position before the Liverpool game. We've lost our last four games at Wigan 1-0, so it's difficult enough. Greatest memory is this pathetic, fucking and embarassing League Cup game there some years ago under Souness. Never seen such a bad game again, not even when Fat Sam was in charge.
  10. btw: Does anyone have the Duff goal? Didn't see it, left after 88 mins for dinner
  11. Back four were excellent again, Enrique has come on loads the past few weeks. I was a little bit concerned because of Enrique after the first 10, 15 mins, but have to admit he did quite well afterwards. I used to back Bentley during his Blackburn days, but he was utter shite today. As he's been all season. Now we're travelling to our bogey ground at Wigan. I hope the lads aren't going to disappoint us again after two good games.
  12. We're really missing the pace of Oba, as expected
  13. My dear, first thought he's going to give them a penalty......
  14. But I'm still not confident about that - and he's booked.
  15. Enrique is struggling against Lennon. Need to be careful
  16. Just write an email to Mark.Hannen@nufc.co.uk.
