  1. Hey everyone, this guy runs a football manager blog, and he's having votes to decide what team he uses in the 2010 version. It would be really awesome if everyone went over there and voted for him to manage Newcastle! The poll is on the right side of the screen. I really want to see how he'd do Newcastle so everyone please help! (Link below) http://www.truefootballmanager.com/

Just out of curiosity, how much did the game cost for you guys? Here in the States it was $30

Fair enough I always forgot you can ask for money. Going to save mine for promotion though. as all my current team will be out the door.... Yeah good call, I'm hoping these new guys come in, and give me a ton of money to invest in the summer so I can improve

I have no idea actually! haha Heres how it panned out. I got Butt to consent to mutual termination of his contract, which gave me about £120,000. Then I got a bid accepted for Skjelbred with like 900k upfront and the rest to be paid over 48 months. I didn't have enough money for this, so the transfer was delayed a week. So I went to the board and requested more transfer funds, and they gave me £4 million!!! Again, no idea where Ashley got it from lol. The problem is I couldn't spend most of it, cause there was a transfer embargo for the last week of the window because of the takeover talks

Yeah Jonas is phenomenal in the championship in this game. I put his crossing bar down to rarely, which makes him cut in more and try and beat people as opposed to putting in a shitty cross. This has resulted in a bunch of great goals where he beats 2-3 people and then slides it in. Lua Lua is looking good too, the line up im playing is: ------------Camara-----Ameobi-------------- Wilshere-------------------------------Jonas ------------Smith----Nolan------------------ Enrique--S. Taylor--Colo---Simpson --------------Harper---------------- Subs: Ryan Taylor Per Ciljan Skjelbred Macheda Carroll van der Meyde Campbell Lovenkrands Sometimes ill swap out Wilshere or Jonas for Lovenkrands or Lua Lua. And this is what I did in the first transfer window: Players Out: Butt (Mutual Termination of Contract) Shane Ferguson (Loan) Players In: Henri Camara (Free) Sol Campbell (Free) Andy van der Meyde (Free) Per Ciljan Skjelbred (£2.5 (900k upfront, the rest over 48 months) Jeremy Helan (275k) Jack Wilshere (Loan) Federico Macheda (Loan) I've got 13 points from my first 5 games (4-1-0) I was named Manager of the Month for August, Lua Lua got Young Player of the Month, Camara got Player of the Month, and Jonas came 2nd in Player of the Month. Also, a consortium is in negotiations to buy out the club. So things are looking pretty good here on the toon!

Got it now, hows everyone else faring with Newcastle? I'm about 3 games into preseason Carroll and Ranger are looking great with a bunch of goals already, got Wilshere and Macheda in on loan, and Camara on a free. Still waiting on a few more. Also Spear is looking like he'll come along quite nicely in the next few years!

I signed Camara in my demo too! Couldn't get Campbell though, but I did manage to get Harewood in on loan.
  9. Its becoming apparent that it will likely take decades, if at all, for us to get somewhere near competing at a high level and/or in Europe. Fuck this is depressing.
  10. I would fly over from America to do this as well. You have my sword. [/LOTR Reference]
  11. I agree. However realistically I don't think he'll set foot in the north east now. Surely even he wouldn't be that stupid? Of course he will cos he knows fine well that nothing will happen. The local media dont give him a hard time. Nust are too busy dreaming to give him a hard time. Nothing will happen? I think if he's not surrounded by goons, he'll get attacked. Seriously. Not even a crowd of goons could stop the undeniable rage that will be shown against him.
  12. Has theyre ever been a more clearly malicious, idiotic, evil, cruel, malodorous, and perverted owner in the history of football? I think we may have just about had the worst.
  13. Dear Mike Ashley, Thanks for ruining a decent day, just like you've ruined so many other days. I sincerely hope you die painfully. Love, Jon
  14. I legitimately feel sick. There is no doubt in my mind that if I saw Mike Ashley in person, I would inflict severe physical harm on him. What kind of fucking idiot would deliberately do this to so many fans? I can't imagine someone being this petty and cold-hearted. He is ruining this great club. Renaming the stadium is a joke, and I wouldn't be surprised if he went and changed the home kit to bright pink. Somethings got to be done to get this man out, I don't care what, it just has to be done. Fuck, this is the worst news I've heard in quite some time.
  15. Nope, but then I left right on the full time whistle. There was definitely no trouble during the game, but afterwards, I suspect it would've been a disagreement between the 'we're fucking shit losing to this rabble' brigade and the 'we actually played well so fuck off' brigade.' What I feel tonight after the long drive back is on a par with the last day of last season. .com says we may have further to fall....fuck me, I don't see how it can get worse than losing to Scunthorpe. Losing to Doncaster? At home?
  16. fuck everything. give the job to hughton. fuck fuck fuck
  17. NUMBER 7 ON THE SEASON! ONLY ONE KEVIN NOLAN!
  18. I agree, but perhaps Jonas is still winded from his Argie games?
  19. They thought we were actually getting sold! Morons...
