Hopefully it will. Thing is once Barry is fit you'd hope Capello will push everyone up the park by one. Rooney up top, Gerrard off Rooney, Lampard and Barry in the centre. Not gonna happen. Pretty sure Capello swears by 4-4-2

I'm sure he figured the players he's taking, just not which players should be his first 11. I'd definitely take, and start Joe Cole, I really believe he's one of the few players England have that can create the oft vaunted "something from nothing" which will help break down stalwart opposition and keep us in games against teams of genuine class like Spain or Brazil Agreed. His goal four years ago against Sweden stands out for me.

I agree, I think he is very wrong. The nucleus of players we have are the ones who contributed to our downfall. The influx of new players are not the same quality of the ones who left the sunken ship. Simpson is nowhere near tha standard of Beye. Williamson is questionable in regards to Bassong. Best hasn't come even close to Martins. Routledge might be a winner in regards to Duff or Milner. Without additional quality players I honestly can't see us staying up with what we have.......but I'd like to think so. Seriously? Duff is attempting to get fit for a Europa Cup Final tomorrow and Milner was included in Capello's 30 man squad. You could make a case for Routledge being as good as or slightly better than Duff, but definitely not for Milner.

This has comprehensively ruined my day.

Would anyone be interested in doing one of those online leagues where we all have a team? Ive never set one up but Id really like to do it

So in every FM game so far, I've only played with Newcastle, and I've never moved anywhere else. Ive tried starting as some BSN/BSS teams, but I get bored with those really quick, so I decided to start a 'career' game, where I go to different leagues and win things. I started with Seattle Sounders in the MLS, I won the US Cup first year, and then won the league the next year. After that I left, and joined Hereford who had been relegated from League 2. I hated it there, I had no transfer funds, and a crap team. So I left at the end of that season and joined Cardiff who had finished 20th in the CCC. I got about £14 million to spend, and have brought in 9 players so far, including Carroll, Routledge, and Vuckic from Newcastle, who just got relegated from the prem. Super excited for the next season, especially with all the Newcastle players!
