I'm not very well versed on any football before the year 2000, but I would think that the style of the side they played in would be more likely to dictate their managerial style. I could very well be wrong on this though.

Yeah when you go to make squad transfers the Classic and World XIs dont show up Makes sense though, on his profile it says Shearer is 40, and other players on the Classic XI are 60 years old and up, so to put them on a squad and use them in manager mode would probably be a bit silly!

Cant imagine I'd be too happy about this if I were a Liverpool supporter. Its just another set of Yanks that have bought the clubs, and theres nothing they can do about the squad until January.

Is there any way to take Shearer from the Classic XI and put him onto Newcastle? Cause that would be awesome haha

It just makes me fucking sick that he comes out and apologizes not for making a horrific tackle that couldve broken a players leg, but for getting sent off and letting his team down. What a complete asshole.

Especially when you think someone like Peter Beardsley probably isn't. Just going on that, its really unsettling that players who were incredible 10-30 years ago made less than below average footballers do now.
