Awesome thank you so much everyone! I have relatives up there who I can stay with, so that's sorted. Just curious, would anyone want to coordinate and get seats with me? I'll probably go any way, even if its by myself, but it will be more fun if I have someone who I sort of know who I can talk to during the game haha. -

cheapest way? walk Cheapest way thats either by car, bus, or train? -
If youre looking for a challenge, start managing Olimpija, in the Slovenian First League. Its got Haris Vuckic's brother on it, Alen, so thats why I picked them. I've won the league for about 15 years in a row now, and I'm slowly closing in on the Champions League. Made it to the QFs last season, which was my best result so far. I challenge you lot to do better.

Considering going. Would anyone know the cheapest way to get from London to Newcastle? And back? -
Picked up our Blue away strip from Sports Direct yesterday for only £15! Not one to support Ashley usually, but thats quite the fucking deal.

Well I'm in England until August, and am/was in Newcastle for the first 4 days of the trip. Just so happened to have the friendly fall on a day I was here, which was very lucky!
-
Haha going there tomorrow actually. I'm with my parents and my Granddad, so we're doing much more of the historical stuff all around Northumbria and the like instead of going around Newcastle, which I don't mind really, its just something else. Saw Lindisfarne yesterday, which was pleasant. The mead was quite nice. Went to Bamburgh Castle, and apparently I'm related to people who used to own it (The Forsters) which was pretty cool. I love a good castle anyway! Checking out Hadrians Wall and the Roman Outpost there today. Gotta say though, I abso-fucking-lutely love the North!!!

This is the story of my first even Newcastle game. Drove up to the ground, and was in awe of the throngs of Black and White shirts walking up and singing. Unlike anything I've ever seen. Parked and went up and picked up the tickets, and took a picture next to the Away Supporters sign with my ticket Queued up to get in, and again, the atmosphere inside the stadium near the bar was incredible. Completely packed with bottles all over the floor, and again lots of singing. Got to our seats, which were in Block 26, row 6, which was the closest I've ever been to a professional sporting event. Was acting like a giddy 6 year old when the players came on, and could see Barton and Simpson just several meters away from me! First half was excellent, thought Barton, Ben Arfa, and Cabaye were very good. Barton ran the game. Cabaye was also much shorter than I had thought! I thought Vuckic was alright, had a couple of decent attempts, but was nought special. Forster didn't have much to do, but was decent when called upon. After the first half, I figured I should go get a drink, seeing as it was my first game. Waited about 15 minutes at the bar to get served, and then stood and watched the fans inside jumping and chanting and throwing shit in the air while I finished my cider. The girls serving the bar looked to be having a horrible time, and I don't blame them with plastic bottles hurtling at them. Went back to my seat to see that Sammy Ameobi had come on. Began to hear the chants of "If Sammy Scores, We're on the Pitch", and then, of course, he scored! A big group of fans behind me ran on, and I figured "Fuck it, its my first game, and if I don't run on and see some players I'll regret it." So I ran on, and got to pat Joey Barton on the back . Went over to go see Cabaye, to whom I planned to say "Its my first game too!". Someone else was talking to him, and me, not realizing how wet the grass was, slipped up and fell on my arse, and took out the feet of the guy who was already talking to him! He said it was "Nee Bother" and laughed it off, which was great! I ran back to my seats, extremely satisfied. The fuckers who were starting up were right in front of me, and it definitely showed me the darker side of football supporters. Was pleased though that everyone else seemed to be booing them. Additionally, from the beginning of the game, you could tell that the 15-16 year olds on the right hand side up front were not going to be good. Shirts off and rowdy is never good. Left a couple minutes early to avoid the crowd and any potential violence. It was telling when all of the little boys and girls running around the front during the first half had left after the fight. All in all, it was a great experience. The chants were magical, and the support was unlike anything I had ever seen. Also, I thought it was interesting that Jose and Tiote weren't playing. Hopefully that wasn't because of any potential moves. It was a night I'll never forget, and the next game I attend can't come soon enough. With any luck it'll be vs Arsenal at home in August, but I'd need to find the money for the ticket and a ride up from London as well! EDIT: Will post up some pics if you lot want to see them in a day or two.

Please do, that would be really really awesome!

Buzzing Flying to Newcastle tomorrow for the first time in my life -- stadium tour of St. James' Thursday, Darlo friendly on Friday!
-
Which is the one that crops up everywhere? How can you be sure they are not one and the same?
-
Yeah, you're probably right. So in that case, anyone who wants a single ticket, I have one!
-
Turns out my Granddad doesn't want to go to the game anymore, so if anyone over the age of 60 (looking at you Noelie and LeazesMag ) wants a ticket for £6, give me a shout!
-
Tickets have been bought!!!! Does anyone know what the delivery time usually is for them? They're being shipped to Canterbury
-
Our orange 2nd kit looks very Valencia-y. I like it.
-
Cheers, thanks! Yeah I was surprised too, seeing as they went on sale yesterday. But here's the screen that came up when I went to purchase them.
-
Tried to get tickets off .cock today and its sold out Would anyone be able to spare 4 tickets, or know where I could get some? Cause I'm visiting Newcastle for the first time in my life from July 13th to July 16th with my family, and having never been to a game before would love to see them in action, albiet a friendly, against Darlington.

Who should be monarch of an independent Scotland?
JonTheMag replied to Irrelevant Nick KP's topic in General Chat
The question is, who would be the last king of Scotland? -
People on the comments for the England vs Germany U17 game are claiming Crouch has been signed by us, anyone know if theres any truth in this?

You should be happy with survival again for another season, and I mean that in a derogatory way. Henderson's gone, Gyan and Gordon could be away, and so far all you've brought in are an unproven British striker, and two midfielders who have just been relegated.
