  1. Maybe if Carroll spent less time making out with keepers, he'd score more goals? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT-pNYPYE4g
  2. Not listened to much outside of my usual sphere of bands, but out of those, I quite liked Suck It and See from the Arctic Monkeys.
  3. Caught up on a few lately, both new ones and old ones I've been meaning to see. Horrible Bosses - pretty awful. Charlie Day and Colin Farrell were the best parts, especially Farrell. Should've had more of him. It showed promise in the beginning but the final third was dreadful. Glengarry Glen Ross - Amazing. Incredible acting from an incredible cast. Definitely felt like you were watching a play though, which makes sense, as it was one. Captain America -I enjoyed it. Total action movie superficial dross, but still entertaining. Some slick fight scenes, and the little nods to Star Wars were appreciated.
  4. A draw would be best for us. Come the end of the season, Fulham will be one of the teams fighting for 7th most likely. Oops oh well, Dempsey's scored!
  5. Cabaye. Cabaye's made a few poor decisions in the last two games. Left Mata unmarked and gave away the penalty against Chelsea, and missed an interception against Man U that left Nani pretty much clear on goal -- luckily he fucked it up though!
  6. Could do something like -------------Ba Jonas------------------Obertan ---------Ben Arfa--Cabaye -------------Tiote In front of the backline. Or swap Sammy in for Obertan. You'd have Tiote in there to act as a sweeper almost in front of the defence, and sit back even more than he does. Ben Arfa would play higher up, and Cabaye would be the link between the two.
  7. Things really could get dicey for Sunderland in the next few weeks unless they start playing extremely well. They have Blackburn at home next week which is winnable, but after that its Tottenham away, QPR away, Everton home, Man City home, Wigan away, Chelsea away. Could easily take only 3-4 points from those 6 games, maybe even less.
  8. Seem to remember a victory of some kind being registered against Sunderland last season? Not at the Stadium of Shite. I believe Mr. Baggio's records include whether the result was home or away.
  9. Its mental that Pards hasn't won MotM yet.
  10. In the last 4 seasons: 10/11: Manchester City, 22 points -- Finished 3rd with 71 points. 09/10: Tottenham, 25 points -- Finished 4th with 70 points. 08/09: Arsenal, 23 points -- Finished 4th with 72 points. 07/08: Chelsea, 25 points -- Finished 2nd with 85 points. 06/07: Portsmouth, 23 points -- Finished 9th with 54 points. 05/06: Wigan Athletic, 25 points -- Finished 10th with 51 points. I'll do more seasons later if anyone gives a fuck!
  11. Interesting? Not particularly. Meaningless? Yep. All stats are meaningless! I found the fact that we had more points than Man U at this stage particularly interesting though.
  12. Some interesting stats. After 13 games last season, Manchester United had 25 points. After 13 games this season, Newcastle United have 26 points. If Newcastle had taken 26 points from their first 13 last season, they'd be only 2 points off the league leaders, Chelsea. Last season, Bolton were in 5th after 14 games played, but finished below us in 14th place at the end of the season.
  13. Actually...on a serious note, I would agree that your starting 11 are superior however I would say ours has far more depth. If any of your key players are injured, you would be struggling to replace them from the bench: cabaye and tiote for example. If they get injured, you're left really thin on the ground. I disagree, you have a just as thin, if not thinner squad. If Sessegnon and Larsson get injured, you have pretty much 0 attacking threat
  14. Never, in the field of British football, has so much been owed, by so many, to so Brewce.
  15. How about a death remembrance day, where we commemorate everyone who has ever died ever. Lets do that. Cold and flu remembrance day would go down a bomb tbh Let us never forget that day when I had the sniffles and didn't get out of bed until noon.
  16. Thanks for the update Deaders. Let us know what you end up doing.
  17. I think most worrying now is who will play on the left against Chelsea and give Ryan Taylor the same amount of cover that Jonas does? Ben Arfa? Santon? Sameobi?
  18. About time we got a soft penalty given in our favor. Get in.
  19. How about a death remembrance day, where we commemorate everyone who has ever died ever. Lets do that.
  20. Plenty I count three men of footballing age. Sammy looks so tiny! Adorable.
  21. Apparently at the expense of him getting Modern Warfare 3 at midnight. The poor lad
  22. Id have him back in an instant. He can hold up the ball better than Best, and having him would add another dimension to our already very strong attack.
  23. For someone who a year go was being touted as the man to lead England's front line for the next ten years, its quite amusing that he's not got a callup for the England friendlies
