  1. Tbf, I'd take £25-30 million for Tiote.
  2. Just realized -- if you look at Nile's leg in the picture you can see his electronic ankle bracelet for his probation
  3. Thats probably more to do with teams looking to exploit Raylor down the left than Simpson's ability.
  4. Bored as hell, finished my exams earlier than my friends so I'm home for about a week with nothing to do! Trying to find a job for the month I'm back, but we'll see how that goes! Otherwise I'll probably just end up playing lots of Football Manager and guitar.
  5. I'm nothing like Deadman, you dick, if I mention FIFA it's partly ironic and meant as a humorous point, where in this occasion I'm making a point of Perch being so crap I rather decide someone I've exclusively seen played in a videogame. But this is not being completely true, because I've actually seen Kadar in some action doing well, and heard a lot of good things about him, and seeing his physics is way better suited for center half than Perch, and that he's infact a natural center half, and with international caps, I think it kinda helps my argument. But the fact that you're saying you're a implying you're a better judge of talent than the entire Newcastle coaching staff is not helping your argument.
  6. He's like Deadman, but with a slightly better grasp of the English language.
  7. Why couldn't Obertan have been sent off? Maybe he wouldve if he got stuck in anytime ever.
  8. HBA will do well coming on in the 60th against a tired Norwich defense. Better than Shola would tbh. And we need Sholas aerial prowess early on. Don't think its a personal move from Pardew, just tactical.
  9. Id rather play Gosling in the middle over Smudger.
  10. A cause for optimism: we beat Aston Villa 6-0 last season with Perch and Alan Smith in the starting lineup.
  11. Would a midfield of Cabaye - Ben Arfa work at all? Would have to have Cabaye play a much less forward game than he does now, but I think he could do a job as a holding midfielder, at least against Norwich.
  12. I just stop checking threads once shit like this gets started every fucking time. Its tiring.
  13. Its very similar to what Ashley is doing right now actually. He's looking at players who are undervalued, and ignoring those who are overvalued. This is why we're signing young players from France with potential, and not 'proven' talent that will cost more than they're actually worth because of prior achievements and nationality. Suggest that the NUFC system isn't quite as methodical and scientific. More luck than judgement. But Moneyball was great. I really enjoy baseball which helps. But I don't remember seeing a better sports movie? Absolutely. But its a similar concept at its core, I think.

  15. When there's not a hat, theres a scarf. The man exudes style.

    Alex

I'd take him, but I don't see him settling for a club not actively involved in Europe. Feel like he'd go somewhere more like PSG, Bayern Munich, Leverkusen, Udinese, or Napoli.
  17. He's great fun. Comes off as a genuine, nice lad on twitter too.
  18. Some excellent photos of a Sammy-led conga line here, from the Junior Magpies Christmas party. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north-east-news/evening-chronicle-news/2011/12/05/nufc-players-join-in-fun-with-junior-magpies-72703-29896945/
  19. True. They're doing that with some other player of theirs, arent they? I can't remember which.
  20. Best part of Branson's article: "Oh, whats that? We don't do anything? How about going to FUCKING SPACE."
  21. As in Kolo? Or Yaya? Think you mean Kolo as Yaya plays pretty much every week. But regardless, like fuck we'd be able to afford his wages.
