Everton vs Newcastle United Sun 13 May 2012 3.00pm

Arsenal make it 2-2. Hello Europa -
Brilliant, he'll do well for them. He's the perfect manager for that type of club, and I'll be happy to see Chris back in the Premier League

The picture from the English version of Ben Arfa's website

Unfortunately I think West Ham will beat them. In their two games against each other this season, West Ham won them 4-0 and 4-1. Birmingham on the other hand drew 3-3 and 1-1 with West Ham. But anything can happen in the final!
-
After being down 3-0 on aggregate, Birmingham need an extra goal in the last 5 minutes of stoppage time to send it to extra time. Come on Chrissy Hughton!
-
I think we'll keep the core of the side together for at least this next season, after that we'll lose a few. It just needs to be made clear to the likes of Ben Arfa, Krul, Cabaye, Cisse, et al, that if they stay they could be legends for us if they stay.

What's the one point off for?

Shola can do absolutely anything. The phrase "a man of many hats" has never been more appropriate

I love how all the 'chants' invariably disintegrate into him just speaking various platitudes about Arsenal.

Matthew Kilgallon, was gutted when we missed out on him at the time
-
Never said it would be easy, but if we put in a performance with as much heart as we did today I think we could definitely get a result. Everton are due a slip up and with not much to play for we could catch them out
-
If todays Spurs result holds, an Arsenal loss or anything less than a Spurs win next weekend will mean that we get fourth. We have the momentum, and it is by no means over yet. We played our hearts out today and unfortunately were beaten by a world class finish. Bring on Everton, it ain't over til it's over!!!!!
-
Lucky to not be 2-0 down there. I'll be shocked now if we get anything from this.

Tiotes stitches are all over the place now

I've just got an Xbox, and a Macbook Pro that is suitable for FM but nowt else!

His goal from yesterday was #1 on ESPN's top plays in America. How's that for getting the club some international exposure!

Because its worked so well before when we've played a high line against pacy teams -
Neville is excellent. Check out his opinions on diving -- very insightful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNx5ok60U6A McManaman is awful -- I was listening to him commentate the game where we beat Liverpool 2-0 and it was horrendously biased. I can't stand him. Would like to see some of the more thoughtful players/managers move into commentary. Kompany would be great at it eventually, and Shay Given is alright when he's on MOTD.

We had a few chances when we played them in November, Ben Arfa cut them open and he wasn't even in form then. It all fell apart after we gave away a penalty then they went and got two more. We'll definitely give them a game, and I highly doubt that if we do lose it'll be by more than one goal.
-
Good time for a goal. Man Utd will have to come out firing in the second half, should get quite open.
-
So who actually thinks we will finish 4th?

I think we'll step our game up though against Chelsea, City, and Everton. I think the 4-0 scoreline flattered Wigan today, although that's not to discredit them, they played very well and took advantage of our mistakes. But after 2-0, Pardew went for the new formation with 2 wingbacks. This was entirely new for our team, and I think was directly responsible for us going 4-0 down. It was a gamble, and could've paid off, but unfortunately it didn't. That said, I think if we had stuck with 4-3-3 or gone to a more rigid 4-4-2, we could have salvaged a point if we'd gone into the second half down only 2-0. So what ramifications does this have for the run in? Basically what I'm saying is that our form will hold, and that even though we lost 4-0 we can still take the game to these clubs. The players will be extra motivated and will certainly not be underestimating the opposition. In both games we will be the underdog, and I feel that is when we're at our best. The pressure will be on Chelsea and City to perform, and I think we could take advantage of that. Either way, I am VERY excited to see where the next 2 weeks takes us, regardless of the outcome. I mean, what a fucking season!!!
