Not sure if it was a deflection or not, looked like a good free kick. Given fully at fault if it wasn't deflected. Dont like the idea of bowyer as a defensive mid..

No Emre? Warm-up injury? Cant fathom him not even being on the bench if he's fit like. Luque mkII?

Shola hat-trick tbh. and a 3-0.

The Doors - The Doors. One of the greatest albums of all time.

The Guardian did an article on O'neill that sounded a lot like a copy and paste from an older Alardyce one, what with all the "innovative training methods" and the "statistical analysis on his laptop". But then it was by Louise Taylor... Don't see why O'Neill would choose boro over us though.

So they're down tonight are they? Shame.

United stay cool over O'Neill for England reports
GafferTape replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Souness was supposed to be bringing stability. What a load of tosh. I don't know much about Mancini, but he finished third last season and won the cup, this season, they're fighting for second and potentially about to win a cup. O'Neill bought a few cheap players (at leicester, not so at Celtic apart from Agathe) and managed to scare the shit of everyone else by bullying them into submission. Just because Adriano and Martins are amazing on Football Manager, doesn't mean they should be winning the league. Fuck, I won the league in my first season with Luque playing a blinder on the wing (and then four successive champion league and league titles followed). But I digress. -
It's a shame then that pretty much no one outside of Newcastle thinks that it's a tempting proposition. A chairman of questionable integrity and motivation, an expectant crowd, who will turn on the manager when things go wrong are hardly tempting. From an outsiders perspective, three out of four of the managers since Keegan have been driven out by the fans. Not that many people in Europe actually give a shit about Newcastle. Have Newcastle had Beckham, Rooney, Henry, Gerrard, Abramovich etc in the recent years? No one gives a fuck man.

I'm not reading 2,500 words of that, but the first few paragraphs made him look like a supa coach. Too long, just like every artcile on N-O ever.
-
Aye, he's been class. Sven would be a fool not to take him instead of Crouch. This made me laugh also: "just came over this article..." Too much information there laddy.

Those Nazi fellas put in a lot of effort into exterminating the Jewish folk, don't mean they were justified in doing so. Was it 20 pages on the golf courses? Does he really care about the rise in popularity of some park with holes in the ground or other? Some people just need to let things go.

And a follow up from a Newcastle fan: It's amazing how not many people see this. I only wish we still had Woody, their partnership would be one of the best in England. The sort of mentality that backed Souness for so long - "It's not his fault, really".
-
Groundwork for him leaving in the summer then. Owen will say that he doesn't want to commint that long/or some other excuse. The board then doesn't lose face with the 'fans*' since they've made an effort to sign him on. Owen leaves, everybody's a winner. *Thick supafan cunts like.. same ones that rated Souness.

Boumsong is a brilliant defender who basically needs a more confident partner to get him back on track. If Newcastle could get hold of Mexes, well, problem solved. Says a Chelsea fan. I'd like to go for cunt-chops.

Thinking outside the box a bit here (i love my marketing, i do), there haven't been that many succesful players that have come over from Spain or Portugal and done well in this league. The only couple of examples are Alonso and Ronaldo, and even then, Ronaldo has done fuck all for a year. All of our lot (bar that centre back we had on loan), all the Spanish/Portugues at Chelsea and Liverpool are predominantly rubbish. Steer clear of Spain I say. France is the place to go, but then we may end up with Guivarc'h and Charvet. Okay, No to France, some Italian steel and flair, like erm, Pistone and Coco. Fair enough then, no Italians either. We should go to South America then, I've read on N-O that there's plenty of good players there, or atleast in Football Manager there are. Might end up with another Bassedas, Gavilan or Fumaca. Erm right. Try British then. British lads work their bollocks off for the cause don't they, and they're quality... I reckon that Jenas, Disco Hamilton and that Asian loving fella might have something to say on the contrary. Fuck it. Home grown is where what we ne... Elliot, Chopra, Shola, Walton, Coppinger... You know what, just let it go man. Lock the gates, have it over with. We've got no chance. There's no good players. Anywhere.

http://2lmc.org/cache/1ac9ebb3b616ba9d7bcc90b8f7ed0fa0.jpg For which a retraction was made on page 41 of the paper, which confused "conjecture" with "fact". British journalism at its best. Anyhow, I know a Rob W, who lives down south and supports newcastle. I wonder what are the chances. . .

Seriously, what are the PFA going to do if we break the rules? Fine us? Oh no Mr Cunt, please don't fine us two of your shinny pennies. Scare-mongering rubbish. Next you'll be telling us that asylum seekers are eating our swans. Oh wait...

I didn't compare them, it was done earlier in the thread. I'm just adding my considerable weight to the argument.

I've had a quick look on nufc.com, Chopra has two goals from 7 starts and 18 sub appearances. Think it'd be a bit silly adding his goals at Watford and Barnsley into the mix. This is going a bit off topic, but let's put it this way, unless Ramage score a hat-trick by the end of the season, we should get rid. Rocky should have gone long ago, he's had 7 starts to get the hat-trick, and he hasn't. Ergo, he's rubbish.
-
Hold on, how many senior goals does Chopra have? He scored one in the cup earlier this season, and may have got a couple in the inter-toto I suppose, and although his scoring record for the reserves is half decent, I dont remember him scoring a goal in a league game (never mind a hat-trick on his debut). Shearer's scoring record at Southampton was 1 goal in three games, which I suppose doesn't sound high, but was enough for Blackburn to break the British transfer record, when he was around the same age that Ramage is now.
-
I'm sure this has been mentioned, but Shearer scored a hat-trick on his professional debut. Which by my estimation would be in his first season.
